Motor life exceeded on a RedMed S9 Auto - Time for something new?

Greetings friends! LONG time no see! I woke up this morning to a 0.2 AHI, feeling good. I disconnected my hose from the machine, and it gave me the message that the motor life had been exceeded and to contact the service provider. The service provider where I got this machine many moons ago no longe...

Fragility of xPAP treatment and sleep

Hi friends, It's been a long LONG time since I've been on the board. Just living life, trying to grow as a person, and of course... sleep well. I'm writing this after a particularly nasty night. Most nights, I sleep perfectly fine. I'm falling on my face today. For the last two days, I've been tryin...

I've heard that the A10 doesn't show full data on the screen like the S9 does. Is that accurate?
No...that is not true. You can get the same data the S9 offers but you do have to go one step more to a different screen.
Thanks, Pugsy! Nice to still see you on here!

Re: Time For A New Machine

Loooooong time site member, but I've been away for quite some time.

I'm in a similar dilemma. I've been using the S9 Autoset for 17805 hours. I probably have some time left on the old gal. I've heard that the A10 doesn't show full data on the screen like the S9 does. Is that accurate?

Non-Grounded Outlets

Hi, CPAP family.

I am moving to a place with two-prong outlets that aren't grounded. Is that safe for my ResMed S9? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Re: Kenny's CPAP Thread

Hi Kenny - I'm very new to this world of CPAP. While looking over some of your thread I decided to look up Pur-Sleep Aromatherapy as I saw it noted in your sig. I have struggled with chronic sinus issues my entire life (now 47) and was wondering if you use the Aromatherapy to help such a problem? I...

Re: Kenny's CPAP Thread

Hi, Hawthorne! We're doing great. I'm at his baseball game right now. I'm actually having a bad spell of sleep. Last night I had a 1.9, which doesn't sound bad, but I feel absolutely awful. The night before was a 1.1. Anything above 0.5 makes me feel like crap. Why do digestive issues do this? I don...

Re: Kenny's CPAP Thread

For those of you who know me well from years back, you know how cute my son is. He's turning six this year! Wow I remember the pregnancy announcement! SIX!!! Congratulations on your lifestyle change? Re: Kenny's CPAP Thread

Dear apneic friends (old and new)— Just wanted to post a little "Hey, guys, I'm still around" message. I'm going to try and be more active here on the board if I can. As it turns out, I'm trying to just make it through today; I had a horrible night (AHI of 1.1 which is certain death for me) last nig...

Re: Kenny's CPAP Thread

I'm enjoying my S9 with my AirFit P10. However, my numbers frequently look like this: AHI: 0.5 HI: 0.5 CA: 0.4 Leak is always <12 L/min @ ~15 cm H2O. My concern is with the frequent CA's being nearly 50% of my apneas (if I'm reading that right) on a lot of nights. When I was diagnosed in 2009, I was...

Re: Acceptable leaks?

Pugsy! Thanks for replying. My mom reports that she sleeps fairly soundly through the night, but she admits to not sleeping enough. It turned out that her minimum pressure was set to 6.0. I don't think the machine had enough time to respond to her apnea events. We set the minimum to 8.0 to start. I ...

Re: Acceptable leaks?

Actually, she has had her B12 tested, and it was fine. I don't doubt that she has some depression, but that's a whole other story.

I'm going to walk her through raising her pressure tonight!
