Re: Attention Pugsy.

I hope you are feeling better. I had really bad vertigo back in 2011. Ended up in two ERs. Felt like the room was the spinning and the floor was moving. I walked like a drunk. Ever since then,I have been more sensitive to certain movements, and I can get short boutrs of vertigo randomly. I carry mec...

Re: Bringing machine with to appointment

When I first started, I was told to bring the machine, in case they wanted to make any changes to the settings. I think a lot of them do that remotely now. My machine did not have a modem. They used the card to download the data, and there was no need to make any changes.

Re: pressure so high blowing up my skull ??? comments

Welcome to the group. Check out the sticky post for new people. It has info for how to download Oscar and take a screen shot with the info we need. If you can post some data, we can get a better idea of how to advise you. It is certainly easy to lower the pressure, and you may need to do that and wo...

Yeah. The food here is lousy and they just don't serve enough of it. Right. Don't need Yelp to help decipher that complaint.

Re: The Importance of a Backup Machine

I was fortunate to get a backup/ travel Resmed S9 Autoset for really cheap. Both my mom and I use the same model, so it has been a backup for both of us. I have switched out the main part when my mom's machine had a problem. I figured out it was missing the filter cover, so dog hair got sucked in. I...

Re: The real reason some users feel like they're suffocating.

Welcome to the group. You might want to consider reading some posts before you post. You are likely to get a lot of negative responses simply because you are wrong and started with an air of superiority while apparently quite new to cpap. Not the best way to introduce yourself. You will find that mo...

Reminds me of the commercial for some weight loss pills. Claims you will lose 4x the weight with their pill.

Umm, 4 x 0 is still zero. I think I will pass.

Re: Why the hell would I use a humidifier.

I should't have been drinking wine when I posted originally. But too late. Lesson learnt. I like to make things larger than life when I'm feeling merry. Well, you're certainly not the only person who's posted here after drinking... I'm hoping you'll turn out to be better than the last. :) I have be...

Re: Why the hell would you use a humidifier on your CPAP

I’m curious, do you use distilled water? The only time the air I was breathing has smelled was when I used tap water, as I had run out of distilled. Our drinking water is perfectly clean and has no noticeable smell. But, breathing it in such concentrated fashion, one can certainly smell that it is ...

Re: What would cause 200 to 300 events an hour

My first thought is that this cannot be possible. n event must be at least 10 seconds to be counted as event. 300 events would be a minimum of 3000 seconds. And there are only 3600 seconds in an hour. So, for 300 events per hour, the person would be breathing for only 600 of the 3600 seconds, at mos...

Re: Cpap mask question

Think of the recommended schedule as the earliest insurance or medicare will pay for something. It doesn't mean you need it that often. That said, get at least one spare of everything as soon as you can. Then, when you need a replacement, use your spare and replace the spare. These things break at t...

Re: Help I Need to Sleep ASAP!!

Thanks again everybody! I ordered a Resmed S9 Autoset. I will need a mask. What is the best option and place to order one? Thanks! Masks are a very personal choice. Our host, cpap.com offers free mask insurance on most masks, I believe. So, if you don't like it, you can return it. I would definitel...

Re: Getting Used To CPAP

Hi, Newbie. I'm doing a 2 week trial via a sleep clinic of a CPAP machine. I've been to a sleep study, a titration study and get my prescription after the machine data is looked at. My sleep specialist is very thorough. I'm having trouble getting used to the machine. Waking to check the mask, the m...
