Re: New member, S9 noise (detailed).

I've had no similar issues with my S9. Whether inhaling or exhaling, the S9 is essentially silent. There a times when I hear breathing at the mask, but often even the mask is so quiet I've pulled it off enough to break the seal so that the airflow confirms that the unit is working. I have not, howev...

Re: Still talking about leaks..............

Someone else reported on the forum that they found a small leak in their hose when cleaning it (water was streaming out of the hole). Since you've already been troubleshooting you may have checked that already, but just thought I'd mention it.

Re: HOZER hose Management by Levitation System

I didn't buy the Hozer because I travel a lot and it didn't seem especially compact when broken down. I got the hose lift below instead and have been quite happy with it. It's a bit simpler, but it packs down well and is about 1/3rd the cost of the Hozer. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/flexible-te...

Re: S9 came with defective SlimLine tubing (small tear)

You should contact your DME or the store you bought it from and request a replacement. I got my S9 a little more than 2 weeks ago and my original climateline hose was defective. CPAP.com was able to send me the replacement at no charge after confirming the warranty repair with ResMed. I have a host ...

Is there a reason you posted the exact same topic two times in the forum?

Re: ResMed's new Swift FX?

I'm completely happy with the Swift FX. It took me a little while to get the adjustments right, but since then I have low leak rates and it no longer leaves a mark on my cheek each morning (I'd originally over-tightened it). I'd only used the Swift Mirage II previously and like the reduced size and ...

Re: Accuracy and Value of Titration Studies?

Well, I think that the fact a sleep titration study is done with full EKG, airflow, and other sensors, not merely with the CPAP machine statistics, that the technician may be able to use the data available to determine a titration such that the variance due to environmental variables is reduced. Tha...

Re: Aetna Insurance

You'll need to call Aetna to confirm the specifics for your coverage under your specific group/plan. In my case, any CPAP equipment or supplies weren't covered until my annual deductible was paid, and they required a 13 month rental, so it would carry into two years' deductibles. And to make matters...

Re: REM Sleep logging

They were able to determine your sleep stages (e.g. time in REM) because they were conducting both an EEG and usually use a sensor to also track eye movement. Their is really no way to obtain the data needed to do similar reporting in the home environment.

Re: We need sections here

Every time we deal with a newbie trying to get a machine, we never know what their insurance situation is. A lot of us talk about our cpap.com experiences but that isn't using insurance. I think we need a section for each insurance policy that exists and how they handle CPAP. This doesn't mean for ...

Re: One bad thing about H5i humidifier for S9's

It actually wasn't too difficult to replace, but it scared me when it went popping off! Fortunately, my fingers are still nimble enough to deal with the split ring holding the nipple in, and I got it back together easily enough. But someone with bad arthritis in their fingers would be in troublYA B...
