Re: My First Results

Despite the fact of been on CPAP for year and a half I recently found out that I very much behind of CPAP guru with data compatible machines and sophisticated reports etc. I think I need to fix the situation ASAP. Two questions for you. 1. Where did you get (vendor) your machine? How much should I ...

My First Results

Well, I've been on CPAP for almost 3 years and until last week, had no idea how I was doing as far as the "data" was concerned. I finally got a Respironics "Tank" Auto, with data capabilities. Here is my summary report of the first week. What do you guys think ? http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb...

Re: PAP Pillow - no more mouth leaks

I bought a PAP pillow - one of many desperate attempts to tolerate CPAP -and the way the sides of the pillow fit under my chin (sleeping on my side) keeps my mouth from dropping open. No more chin strap/mouth taping/chipmunk cheeks for me. A very nice and unexpected surprise. Still only can use the...

Opus Pros - Again light weight. Has a swivel joint that allows easier hose management from any direction. The exhaust is on the elbow and is better dispersed so doesn't blow out the front as much. Thin wings. Light attaching hose. Very soft pillows. Another Pro for the Opus is the ease of cleaning ...

OK, I think I have finally figured out how to take a macro photo with my camera. Her goes.

Here is my fix for the Opus:

I just simply tied a piece of dental floss around the pillows and my leaks stopped.

Hope this helps.

Re: opus nasal mask

I am new to CPAP and was given the new Fisher & Paykel Opus nasal pillow mask. After a month I think I have adjusted to it but would like to hear what other people think about this mask in comparison to other masks. I was taping my mouth shut and then got a chin strap. I like something that is not ...

Welcom to the forum Cranky. My coffee cup says "Old Grouch", so I can identify.

After you get your machine, check back in with the folks here, they are real friendly and very helpful.

Again welcome, and good luck

Re: Strange thing

I have the basic RemStar series M CPAP machine the DME is charging my insurance company $110 / month to rent. (go figure). I was diagnosed a month ago with CSA but I know I have OSA too. The sleep lab titrated me at 12 cm/h2o. When I go to bed, the pressure is difficult to exhale against but after ...

Since my next mask selection is undecided, and could very well be the Opus, I have a question about the velcro "girdle". If I interpret the pictures correctly, ( thanks for them, by the way, they're great!) the "Velcro" doesn't serve any purpose except to provide a stiff-but-flexible support for un...
