Ozji, I'm doing pretty good! Still CPAPing every night. Notice that lately I'm pretty tired in the morning and tend to be up for an hour to get the kids off to school and then find myself back in bed for another couple of hours. It is the most wonderful time to sleep, I dream, dream, dream. I guess ...

90% Pressure Mark

I have the Remstar Auto with C-flex. When I download my reports, it shows that 90% of the time I'm at a certain pressure.

What I don't understand is that the minutes don't reflect the 90% of the night figure. I spend many more minutes at a different pressure than the 90%.

Why is this?

There are other reasons that people have this surgery done.

I had mine done because on recurrent tonsillitis and uvulitis. I could no longer continue taking antibiotics every month.

I would strongly encourage you to get the chloreseptic spray and spray on the back of your throat and then your medicine will go down better.....

Another thing, I don't know if I mentioned it is using the chloreseptic spray with a little mineral oil added to it....its something my ENT is telling all of his patients to use. As the scabs come off in the next week or so, your going to notice that your throat is not only sore, but bone dry. It wo...

Just force yourself to take sips. I diluted my pain medication in water because it just seemed to help it go down with tiny little drinks. Maybe you should ask your MD for a different pain medication. Skip the motrin, your risk of bleeding from this point until about day 14 increases as the scabs co...

The snoring is normal after having this surgery done. It will eventually go away.

I had my tonsils/uvula taken out on 2/2/05. I'm doing great. It does get better....

Swordz,

Go for it, have the surgery, you've seen others who have had success and your pretty young.

Me, I'm going the lose weight route. I had my tonsils/uvula out and that has dropped my pressure requirements from 12-14 down to 7-9.

Good luck.

Activa and Large Leaks

I wear the activa mask, my pressure is generally between 7-9.

The problem is I'm having hours of leaks every night, I'm not going to take my mouth, what am I suppose to do?

Switch to full face mask? What is this doing to my sleep? My AHI is 1.4.

Any suggestions?

Heidi

Swordz,

I told you so! I've never even seen you in person but just looking at your picture I said you jaw seemed small and I thought you'd end up being a candidate for MMG.

Good luck!

I had my surgery at 11:00 a.m. and went home at 4:30 p.m. that afternoon.

You will be much more comfortable in your own home, trust me!!
