Re: Insurance "compliance"question.

If you will list the equipment that you are using then others will be better able to answer specific questions. On the CPAPTalk.com home page toward the upper left click on user control -- the user control panel will popup -- click on profile and then edit equipment. You should be OK as I think that...

Re: PLMD and pain

My Primary Care Physician did a complete blood work up some three weeks ago and everything checked OK with the exception of high colesterol. Will check back with them to see if they checked Ferritin level or not. Just had a visit with my cardiologist last Thursday. Cardiologist chanced my blood pres...

Snoredog --- copied your definitions and saved them as a word document -- should come in handy.

PLMD and pain

Was diagnosed with moderate OSA and severe PLMD. Doctor did not initially mention or medicate PLMD -- after I read the sleep studies I called Dr. back -- prescribed Miraplex 0.5 MG at bedtime. Don't know if this is helping the PLMD movements or not but it definitely not helping the pain. Did a searc...

Had found, and lost, the Sleep Terms Definition page previously -- printed it off this time.
Thanks, PAPdad

Re: Medicare Oxygen changes

Am on supplemental oxygen and CPAP. Have an Invacare Homefill system which consists of an oxygen concentrator and a compressor that compresses the oxygen into small carry around bottles (have 3). While I am home I use oxygen from the concentrator and have a tee for the CAPA hose to input oxygen whil...

Re: What to look for in a good doctor ?

We have a number of members in Texas. If you'll let us know where you're located, one of them may be able to help you find a good doc near you. If you're in the Metroplex, I can query some friends of mine in the area. Am north of Dal/Ft.Worth area nearly into Okla. Thanks to all for the comments. NB

What to look for in a good doctor ?

Have now been on my CPAP for just over a week. Have an appointment to go back to Dr. mid December. So far I haven't really gotten a lot from the Doc that I am seeing. He looked at my sleep study results, saw where they had written CFlex and a setting and proceeded to script the same. He was not real...

Re: Medicare Requires Data Capable Machines

Something else that's being left out here is the fact that Medicare also now requires that the patient follows-up with the treating physician, no earlier than 30 days after initiating CPAP therapy and no later than 90 days. If you don't, or your doctor does not document that you are benefiting from ...

Re: CPAPAuction question

I do use Card with Paypal rather than straight to bank account -- so that's a good thing. I did recieve an email back from CPAPAuctions giving me the seller's phone number but have been unable to get an answer so far. I have been wondering if something might have happened on seller's end because all...

CPAPAuction question

I placed a bid on an item on CPAPAuction ( my first time to bid on anything on CPAP auctions ) and was advised on 11-2 that I had won the bid. The seller had a 100% track record at the time that i was bidding on the item. I sent an email to the seller on 11-2 and did send subsequent emails but have ...
