Re: Masks
I use hot rollers to cover the dents and curls in my hair, but how do you get rid of the dents and curls on the face? j/k: flat iron? (WARNING: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME, AT WORK, IN THE CAR, WHILE SLEEPING, WHILE AWAKE, OR AT ANY OTHER TIME!!!) Seriously, though...I have done a couple of things to h...

Re: newbie with questions
It might be helpful if you registered and filled in equipment information. Here is a detailed post I recently wrote that will tell you how to do so, and gives you some links with suggestions: It would be easier to help you with your mask if you filled in your registration information with your mach...

Re: Day 4.....Feeling Fantastic !
Congratulations! That is wonderful after only 4 days. You are definitely very proud of yourself, as you should be. One caveat for the others reading this forum: this is not always true for all of us. Some have a much slower improvement rate, such as...ME! Either way, we are all getting better and w...

Re: I want my life back....
You may want to try larger nasal pillows. It is common to need a larger size in order to get a better seal. It also sounds as if you may have the top strap too tight. One good way to fit any mask is to put it on and lie down before adjusting the straps. I wonder if you are tightening the strap too ...

Re: any help please
Slow down a little and take 3 slow, deep breaths. I can feel your frustration, but there isn't enough information in your post for us to really help you. Bear in mind that I did not really feel results until it had been several months, and then it was a very slow and subtle process. Here is a link ...

Re: I want my life back....
It would be easier to help you with your mask if you filled in your registration information with your machine, mask, etc. It helps most to have it in written form, as the pictures don't always give enough detail. (For example, almost every ResMed looks the same from the outside, but the features c...

Clark, you really did wrap up the whole concept well. I wish I were only HALF as good at doing so; I tend to be a very wordy writer. Please do stick around for the long haul. We CPAP users need all the well-rested help we can get! Karen, Who LOVES http://www.allfreeclipart.com/cartoons/cartoon24.gi...

I used some Ivory Fragrance Free dishwashing detergent, but I had had it for a while and couldn't find it again. I now use Method dishwashing liquid, Fragrance Free. It helps with my allergies to fragrances and is available at a lot of stores, such as Target, Meijer, grocery stores, etc. The Method...

I usually do nap for an hour and a half during the day, but that is just me. However, I do recall reading somewhere that people who nap are smarter than those who do not... Re: Question on what to try next?
Ultimately, the true test is how you feel. With a data-capable machine you are getting some feedback that is useful, but clinically, I believe, an AHI in single digits is considered good. I do not worry about anything as long as my AHI is under 10. I would only worry if I felt awful! So far, that h...

I found my avatar on avatarity.com It wasn't what I was looking to find, but it was so perfect I had to go with it. Karen, Who was surprised at the response she has received P.S. Re: ChrisC's CPAP adventure!
Ramp is a feature that I used for the first few weeks of CPAP. Since then, I don't like waiting to get to full speed therapy, and I have not used it. I'm sure there are others who think that the ramp feature is the best thing that happened to their CPAP therapy. It is definitely something that help...

Babette, I totally agree with you about Pad-a-Cheek's products. I love that they are decorative as well, because there are any number of the fleece patterns available, depending on what happens to be in stock. (Of course, for you staid folks there are solids...) I am sure that if someone wanted a z...

... Second tie a ladies knee high across the pillows and around your head, this will keep them popping out the sides or front.... Don Don, great ideas and I just want to add a little bit. It doesn't have to be a knee-high nylon/hose; I used a pantyhose leg (NOT a too-thick-tights leg) for this. I d...
