Re: Does your electric company give you a discount or allow CPAP users to be on the priority restore list?

What about education? We require all school age children to go to school, and we treat it as a right that children have, that we even enforce by law if they are not going... are teachers slaves then because they work for the government? My family has a lot of teachers and I can tell you they don't g...

Re: What would you like to see in the next generation of CPAP devices?

Yall are having way too much fun with the silly factor on this post. As a cpap is a medical device I dont think as interesting as having a clock read out on the screen would be that it would happen. (Besides some nitwit would probably mess up the setup and it would be horribly bright with no way to ...

Re: bandana or mouth muffle

I used to use a different mouth taping technique that involved one single strip from just under the nose to the bottom of my chin... this was mainly to help me keep my mouth shut to cut down on air turbulence from my full face mask, drying out my mouth and gums. This way you can still breathe throug...

Re: Dream Station Water Bubbles Out

I have a resmed aircurve water chamber... when I fill mine to the fill line... I have an extra insensitive to not over fill it because I usualy fill it while its sitting in the bed. The fill line also corresponds to the far left lip of the water chamber before you close it... if I over fill it, the ...

Re: Does your electric company give you a discount or allow CPAP users to be on the priority restore list?

I don't see the need so much to get a "Discount" on my power bill - but having a database of users who have a "Greater need" for power to be restored in a timely manner would be nice. If you have 4 neighborhoods. 1. with 30 people on CPAP 2. with 8 people on CPAP 3. with 2 people on CPAP and one guy...

Re: What would you like to see in the next generation of CPAP devices?

that's the idea I was wondering about... I have allergies and we have cats... but I forget how many subjects I've seen get started with people asking for help, for what to do when "Wild Fire Season" starts. When you feel as though you honestly should be wearing a gas mask just to go out side... I'm ...

Re: What would you like to see in the next generation of CPAP devices?

"High tech filter" Um, that already exists--just buy them and install-- So easy a cave man (or D.H.) can do it I think "high tech filter" was more akin to what I was talking about... the option to hook a hose up to the cpap air intake so a filter with considerably more serfice area like a box that ...

Re: What would you like to see in the next generation of CPAP devices?

They have to know that if they keep the customer informed and empowered they'll have more successful users of their products The vast majority of patients just don't want be become informed and empowered , so your aspiration dies right there. Whether we like it or nor, xPAP is a consumer electronic...

Re: What would you like to see in the next generation of CPAP devices?

The title of the post, overall is kind of interesting. I mean it would be cool to think if we actually came up with specific things we would like to see implemented that there would be a chance a manufacture's rep would be peeking at this forum and see it. The CPAP making companies would be silly no...

Re: What would you like to see in the next generation of CPAP devices?

Figured I'd run down the list and give my 2 cents... I tried to post this before and it didn't look like it went through, so if for some reason this shows up twice, I'll try to delete it. Thanks, 1. Size? Right now I think we're at a more or less happy medium when it comes to overall size of most CP...

Re: Compliance phone call

Ya, if your using your CPAP every time you sleep, the whole time you sleep, and your still out of compliance, you have bigger issues to worry about then the insurance company. Chronic insomnia maybe? If your using it 100% of the time and are sleeping at least 6 hours a night the people pestering you...

Re: SoClean?

In slight defense of the silly questions... my Mom has to ask restaurants if the steak has "wheat" in it... she was doing her best to be good but when she ate at applebes she kept getting sick. Finally she found out from the manager that they inject the steaks with gluten to make them weigh more. So...

Re: Preston (UK) father-of-three, 28, dies suddenly from sleep apnea

I guess if you find a bunch of water in the lungs its easier to "prove definitively" were as with apnea it's sort of a chicken vs egg argument... You can't be 100% certain that sleep apnea caused the heart attack or stroke or what ever acute breakdown in the body's functioning that lead to death... ...

Re: Preston (UK) father-of-three, 28, dies suddenly from sleep apnea

ya... I guess I just get frustrated thinking about it... You can't prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt, so we beat around the bush about it... "not we as in us" but overall in general. I don't see how "Slow Suffocation" is all that complicated, everyone agrees that breathing is kinda important... an...

Re: Preston (UK) father-of-three, 28, dies suddenly from sleep apnea

not to stir any pots... but if the actual death certificate or coroner's report said death by sleep apnea? what is so wrong with that? Besides the fact that the poor young man is dead? Is it actually the case that your saying it's impossible to die due to sleep apnea? Gee I guess I better sell my PA...
