If it does not work will try to seperate the grey part (which may be a trick to get off without breaking something) and use plummer's tape but will try to find some "superglide" if the grey part does not pop off easy...

14 months for the Micro seal. Now it leaks . It is a bit ineven/warped looking perhaps strecthing out a bit because it was a bit too small to being with. But the next size larger was too large and leaked. Ordered a new one. Might try the Macks earplug trick to make it last till the new one arrives.
