I pulled out my initial sleep study - it will be one year next week - from the notes - "Tech to start CPAP at 5.0 Due to OSA, OSH & Snores" Ya think a ramp start of 4 might be a bit low. I shortened the time and raised the pressure. Will let it stay for a week before I change anything else. Also jus...

Well I feel better that other people see the same holes in the data. I had not thought about: "You're also using a long ramp time, too. I would suggest shortening the ramp time or doing without it." Interesting that reviewing the data in a timeline - I usually have 1 to 2 "snores" during my initial ...

Could it be that the OAs are what woke you in the first place? More than likely as I laid there for a few minutes - that one I figure is real Could it be that when you were waking you held your breath till you shut off the machine, making it look like an OA? Yep, I am positive of that, which is why...

Can you trust the data from the machine?

This almost sounds paranoid but the more I learn, the less I trust the data. Consider this chart. When I woke up to go to the bathroom at about 5 hours into sleep, I shut off the machine and pulled the hose. Now I have a max leak reading that is not real. Same with the OA just as I was turning off t...

At least they stayed metric, can you image trying to convert "imperial gallons per fortnight" back into l/m?

I had a cleaning three days ago. Everything was ok except that I am grinding and just got a mouth guard and aero-swallowing-air-and-burbing-all-the-next-dayia is killing my lovelife. I appear to have a tooth that is loose and trying to be a good person, I did not go in as I usually do with a couple ...

That finally answers my question that I posed at least 5 times.... I must not be asking it correctly.

Now if someone can answer the question: What does average mean?, I will be a very happy camper.

What is the sql server for ?

Can the software be used without it ?

sql is the data storage component. Jim's interface reads the sql database just like Encore does. However, Encore is program that reads, decrypts and stores the data in sql.

You might be a hose head...
if you wake up early and refreshed but still lay there to get more "compliance time" logged.

According to Gates... It should work. I installed it on a W2003 64 bit server. I had to run the install program, then upgrade to the the 64 bit sql (free from M$), then run the install again, selected custom/modify, installed just the program. That should work for Vista, one extra step - find the re...

I am still trying to figure out the definitions. Then I will know what the loss is. What is the average score? What average are they using? What is 90%? 90% of what? I found out other machines use different values so this really confusing. I have heard that 12 l/m loss was a goal but have not seen p...

I have the comfort gel /with premium headgear - petite - and even then the tech wished he had a smaller mask.

It does work for my small nose, moustache, and larger head.

Eek, did not know anyone even remembered CP software. I did a lot of hex and disc writes with that. My favorite is sourcer with a hardware ICE but I digress. You can copy the card to another. Does not prove much other than the card is readable/writable. The real pisser is that the serial number for ...

MS should stay out of MAC and Apple out of Windows.
