Re: Should Trump Drop Out
Donald Trump may have Sleep Apnea: http://amsleep.org/donald-trump-dress-s ... eep-apnea/ "I will build a great CPAP -- and nobody builds CPAPs better than me, believe me --and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great CPAP on everyone's nightstand, and I will make Mexico pay ...

Re: BiPAP ASV and gas?
The 960 ASV I picked up in June came with a heated humidifier and heated hose. It was turned on- who needs a heated hose in the summer? It also came with a modem to communicate with the mother ship. When the ASV malfunctioned and gave the mothership different information than it displayed for me I e...

Different masks, different AHI
I use two different nasal masks: the FX for her and the Eson. I like the Eson because it is quieter and doesn't get as close to my eyes as the FX. However, if I use the FX my AHI is always less than 1. If I use the Eson, my AHI is always 2 or higher. I don't have a computer so I can't check things o...

Re: CPAP and biPAP don't work, trying ASV?
I have obstructive sleep apnea and idiopathic central sleep apnea. My pressures are low (minimum pressure is 5.5 and a minimum pressure support of 0; a weave pressures are 7 and a pressure support of 4). But I need that patterning of the ASV to stimulate my breathing. Unlike cpap or bipap which chan...

Re: Respironics ASV 960 machine is not recording my sleep time c
I just exchanged mine under warranty. It was missing whole days of data and since I'm still having to prove compliance (replacing a six year old legacy with this one) it caused problems. My DME was uncooperative but when I called Respironics directly they sent a replacement.

Thank you, Respironics!!!
I called Respironics myself after the DME said that they could not exchange my malfunctioning ASV that was less than 30 days old. It was not giving me data on the info screen every couple of days, and the recorded zeros got averaged into the stats it keeps for one week and one month. It made me upse...

Re: Panic???
" It resulted in me finally not waking up at all overnight! Not even for the restroom!"
That's a good sign that the cpap is doing its job. Frequent need to urinate at night is a symptom of sleep apnea. One more incentive to keep strapping on that mask.

Another Stupid Sleep Center
I had my follow-up visit so the doctor could look at the data from my replacement ASV. The nurse called out to the tech to upload the data from the modem and the tech responded that there was no record of my having a machine. Nurse put me on the phone with the tech and I told her that I'd been using...

Re: A leaking hole on the front of Dreamwear Nasal Mask
If you insult new users for asking questions that seem dumb to you where will they turn for other questions that might have major impacts on their health? If this is really a board to help people the don't co sided any question as stupid. It's not like their DME or doctor can give a good answer half...

Re: Why Are Centrals NOT Detected on Titration?
The sleep lab tech knows when you are awake or asleep and scores the report accordingly. On the previous titration tests were your centrals separate or in clusters? I have complex apnea. I had to have several months of proven data from failed bipap before I could get an ASV. To show how random sleep...

Re: ASV data mystery continues
The DME tech says that Respironics refuses to exchange it because it is not a therapy issue. Said "that happens" as far as data not being recorded on the info screen. I called Respironics today and argued that if the onscreen data is corrupt then what else might be wrong? Plus now it whistles during...

Re: extremely tired all the time. need advice.
Sleep apnea can cause low testosterone. Do the search. It is more than possible to have other reasons for exhaustion than sleep apnea. Just because you are still tired while using the apap does not mean you don't have sleep apnea. Mine was due to low vitamin D and high stress and poor sleep stage cy...

ASV data mystery continues
My info screen on my ASV has shown 0for usage and all other data for two nights now after doing that on and off over the month I've had it. It factors those zeros into the seven and thirty day averages. I brought it into the DME today and at first the RT dismissed my concern because data IS coming t...
