Re: ResMed S9 worked yesterday-not today
I have tried all of the suggestions above to no avail. I ordered a new Autoset from the supplier but, thankfully, the one I have is under warranty and will be repaired. I need a spare anyway as I travel a lot for business and it is nice to have one at home that doesn't have to travel with me. If I f...

ResMed S9 worked yesterday-not today
I have a ResMed S9 (with the H5 Humidifier) which I purchased about a year ago. It worked fine up until last night. I went to plug it in and the ResMed logo flashes on and off but I can't seem to get the unit to function properly. The flashing of the logo on the unit is all that it will do. I did ru...

Re: Pulse oximeter needed ASAP
They don't have them at our local Costco. I may just order one of the expensive ones that can be ordered from the pharmacy here. They may not offer computer tracking (which is unbelievable given what they are asking for them) but right now time is of the essence! And the pharmacy said they could get...

Pulse oximeter needed ASAP
I haven't been on the forum because I have been attending to my wife who has cancer. She had a pulmonary embolism two weeks ago. She is being discharged to home today. I went to use my oximeter to make sure it was functional and the battery was dead. I replaced the battery and it still doesn't work....

Re: Do you drive if you're sleep deprived? (Poll)
No, I don't drive if sleep deprived. The wife and I work together and our drive to work involves 3 hour drive a couple of times a week. We share the driving duties. I generally will take a nap for the first hour of the long drives and then drive the remainder when I am refreshed from the nap. In th...

Re: Newbie
I can only address the issue of the runny nose and can't offer a definitive answer to your question. I started off with a humidity setting of 3 and encountered terrible congestion which lasted for a couple of weeks. I then changed the humidity settings to 2 for a few days and then down to 1. I still...

Re: CMS-50F Pulse Ox strap question
I use my CMS50E on my thumb too. The viewing angle is better, and my fingers are more sensitive than my thumb. I have the cms 50d +. Maybe the two PO's are different but while sitting at the computer tonight I thought I would try mine on my thumb as well (if I wear it overnight my index finger gets...

Re: Canadian Websites?
I live in a remote area in BC. I order my stuff from Clinical Sleep Solutions in Burnaby BC (I have no affiliation with the company). I have been happy with their services.

Re: Really really bad leak night
That was nice information to put out on the forum. Whenever I get sustained leaks above 35 I just assumed I would have been having unrecorded events. Maybe that is not the case given the information from your post. Thanks Pugsy!

A really good resource on this site is if you click on the New User icon at the top of the page, click on the "learn" tab, scroll down a bit and click on "expand all". There you will find a lot of helpful information! Post back when you get the results of the sleep study. Best of luck in your therapy!

Re: Chin Strap or Full Face Mask
I also have problems with mouth breathing-not every night but enough that it interferes with the PAP therapy. I noticed a video on YouTube that tells how to inexpensively make a chin strap at home. I haven't tried it but may do it at some point.

Re: First night with swift fx
I slept well until the mouth leaks would wake me. Same problem I have but the frequency of the leaks is lessening. I tape up every second night but still get some mouth leaks that wake me up even with the tape on-dry mouth....ugh! Congratulations on your first night with the nasal pillows. Although...

Re: Controlling mouth leaks w/o tape or glue
Maybe you should post your own topic and see if you get more assistance with the problems you are encountering. Just a thought.lilly747 wrote:Well they are all too big, leak way too much, and I have dry mouth REAL bad. I have tried lots of FFM masks. They just don't make one that works for me.
