Re: bongo - any positive experience?
Bongo? What the heck is this? I just looked on cpap.com and I still don't know what it is. It's similar to the old discontinued provent which provides EPAP (Expiratory positive airway pressure) therapy. Basically, you breath in naturally but when you exhale some of the valves close to ...

Re: bongo - any positive experience?
... Of course any therapy is going to be better than no therapy at all. I haven't seen any Bongo use discussion but we used to see a bit of the Provent discussion. Exhalation issues (difficulties) seemed to be the main complaint. I suspect the same is going to occur with the Bongo. You know ...

bongo - any positive experience?
... it seemed like a low enough price to gamble throwing some money at it. I should have it in a few days. It should work similar to the discontinued provent which I had always wanted to try, but that seemed pretty pricey as you had to replace the device every day (I think?) and I don't think I'd ...

Re: V-COM Questions
... circuit that causes the machine to not be able to effectively measure air pressures * can * be 'effective'. I believe VCOM is a scam, just like provent and theravent, they all do the same thing, pretending that the pressure at the end of an expiration is all that you need, but they all fail ...

Re: SleepRes V-Com - Opinions?
... the cpap manufactures will be paying attention. And we will see flow as an adjustment on future cpap machines. V-COM will go the same way that provent and theravent went (after scamming quite a few people out of their money. What do you want to wager?

Re: Bongo
I was not aware of provent actually being produced--or working. Try to keep up, froggy. Provent was produced and sold in moderate quantities. It worked well for some people. Here are six examples where it was successful: https://sleepreviewmag.com/sleep-treatments/therapy-devices/cpap-pap-devices/provent-discontinued/ ...

They recently ceased producing the product. It didn't work so well.

I would suggest trying a sleepweaver cloth mask--either advance or elan.

On the other hand, subject #316 at baseline had an AHI of 9 (mild sleep apnea) which increased to 20.2 after 30 days on therapy. Although ...

... auto-PEEP: Actually, the thought I was hoping to highlight from DPW was the role of FRC (which might be attained by inverse I:E ratio). As far as Provent goes, I believe we sufficiently raked it over the coals when it first came out. AAMOF they closed up shop a couple years ago. BTW are you using ...
