Not always a good idea for various reasons... A/C yes, bedside fan no.
Somewhat off topic, but could you expand on your statement? I've never heard this before and have enjoyed a fan for many years. Thanks!

Re: soaked in sweat even with CPAP

In the meantime while you look into medical issues, is your bedroom cool or is it too warm? An inexpensive bedside fan can make a huge difference in nighttime comfort.

Re: Help with mask selection (see picture)

Maybe a "hybrid" full face mask, like the ResMed AirFit F30 or F30i, or Philips Respironics Dreamwear Full Face mask that all fit under the nose?

Re: Redesigned AirFit N30i

southerndoc, I just deleted a reply to your question about new vs. old part numbers for the N30i cushions. I'd copied in the part numbers from the label on the Starter Pack I received last week. But I double-checked online and I've come to the conclusion the part numbers aren't changing; it seems to...

Re: Redesigned AirFit N30i

The new cushion has been out for several months now (Spring of 2021?) and the differences are: 1) the original version has one clear hard plastic horizontal piece with vent holes across the outside of the cushion which connects to the mask on each end, and 2) the new cushion is all soft silicone exc...

Re: Does Airfit F30 / F30i clamp nose in any way ?

I always had nasal congestion, vasomotor and alergic rhinitis, always a problem when I lay down, always was a mouth-breather but right now I actually breathe on my nose while sleeping with f30i, and I'm waking up with my mouth closed, which is a good sign ... Every time I take off the mask when I w...

Re: Does Airfit F30 / F30i clamp nose in any way ?

I've used the F30i and am currently using the N30i (with the newer softer cushion). I've found both to be comfortable, but definitely am aware they are pretty narrow on the sides of my nostrils and do find myself adjusting them during the night to not feel blocked at all. The F30i has a wide size th...

Re: Question for people being monitored by insurance

I'll just throw this out there: I too would have small leaks from a corner of the Dreamwear Full Face Mask when I would relax and my mouth would slightly open. Tightening the straps helped, although sometimes to a slightly uncomfortable point. Other people swear by mask liners. I ended up trying the...

Re: Need mask advice

My personal recommendation: ResMed Airfit F30i mask. I started CPAP use in January, and after much mask trial and error I am very happy with the F30i mask. I like that the cushion fits under my nose rather than on it, so vision is not at all impeded (I wear glasses to read in bed before falling asle...

Re: Problem with DreamWear FFM

No solution here, but for what it's worth, I too found the Dreamwear FFM (large cushion size) to be very comfortable and generally unobtrusive, but also felt that sharp edge under my nose. I felt like I had to tighten the straps pretty securely to prevent leaks in that area, and thought that might b...

Re: Dreamwear ffm sizing

I hope I can help answer your question; I just measured three of my Dreamwear Full Face masks - a medium, a large, and a medium-wide. (I use the medium-wide myself, alternating with the Dreamwear nasal cushion depending on stuffy nose/mouth breathing times.) First, the overall dimensions of the thre...

Fingers crossed it solves your problem! My throat and
cough issues stopped almost immediately after quitting Lisinoprol. Please post an update when you can!

Re: Keep on waking up every 2 hours, any solutions?

I am brand new here - and brand new to CPAP this week - so please take anything I say with a grain of salt, and apologies in advance if I do this wrong! I had to jump in at the mention of Lisinoprol. I started taking it about two years ago for high blood pressure, and at some point noticed I had som...
