Re: Tyrone747's therapy
Hi Julie, This thread is my treatment thread, if you would like to see how I do on treatment the previous pages have all my graphs. I haven't used CPAP regularly for a year or so. I noticed when I stopped my sleep and fatigue seemed to actually improve quite a bit. But I can't shake the diagnosis th...

Re: Tyrone747's therapy
Would some of the more experienced members be able to take a look at my initial sleep study and my titration sleep study data and give their opinion? Unfortunately my sleep doctor has retired so I can't just go ask him about it. I used my CPAP for a few months religiously and didn't find it improved...

Re: TRavel CPAP Recomendations
Can anyone else comment on the efficiency of the no water humidifier technology used in the Z2 and the AirMini? For me, good humidification is a must since I get dry air passages to the point of bleeding without humidification. Should I just ignore the no water units and get the DreamstationGo if hu...

Re: Tyrone747's therapy
Lowered the pressure to 5 last night with EPR1 so EPAP is as low as it will go. I honestly expected more hyponea's and perhaps an OA. Perhaps the prone position and cervical collar is letting me lower the pressure. But it's just one night. Too soon to tell. I used the Dreamwear nasal cushion and mou...

Re: Cpap machine causes ear problems
I don't see why it can't. The pressure needs somewhere to go. If your lungs are block, your LES is strong enough to keep the air out of your stomach, and your mouth is closed tight or taped, the pressure very well might go to your ears.

Re: Tyrone747's therapy
Because I was unable to use the nasal dilator last night due to nose tenderness I decided to leave EPR on 1. I think EPR 1 does not significantly contribute to CA's for me and it does help to reduce FL's slightly. I did lower the pressure to 6 so my EPAP was 5 (below my titrated pressure). I experim...

A Bleep with a mouth mask sounds like a dream.katestyles wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 6:20 pmIf I could find a y- joint, I could hook it in with my bleeps and make a hybrid mask.

Re: Tyrone747's therapy
That's a very good point Jay. Last nights results with EPR off shows another dramatic reduction of CA's. But I traded them for RERA's and also had higher FL's. I didn't use me nasal dilator last night because my nose was a bit sore from it. Tonight if it is healed enough I will try it again. If not ...

Re: Tyrone747's therapy
Every OA I've ever had has had irregular breathing before it as well. Does that mean they are all fake too? I wonder if I even have sleep apnea.

Re: Tyrone747's therapy
With EPR 1 I had a further reduction in CA's and still have excellent FL's. I was actually surprised to see them so low with little EPR. It may be down to the cervical collar like Jay suggested. Another thing I wore last night under the Dreamwear FFM was a nasal dilator. This could also be playing a...

Re: Mouth breathing
Does anyone get throat breathing (for lack of better term). Like the seal from the nasal passage to the mouth opens even though your mouth is closed? I think that's what happens with me sometimes and I get weird sounds that seem to come from inside my head.

Re: How is possible to have a great night on paper and still feel like garbage?
Funny you should mention that Jay since I tried a cervical collar last night and kind of liked it. It was firm foam not soft foam so I will order a soft one as you suggest and see if it's more comfortable while still doing the job. I didn't notice any difference in FL's probably because I was using ...

Re: How is possible to have a great night on paper and still feel like garbage?
Well, *classically* with bilevel, they say you stop apneas with epap and then stop hypopneas with ps. So it follows that FLs would be reduced with more ps, also. That's wonderful info to have. Looking back through my data I have never had an OA at an EPAP of 6 or above. Therefore I think I should u...

Re: How is possible to have a great night on paper and still feel like garbage?
Probably too soon to tell but any chance you feel like you slept any differently? Feel any different today? If you weren't looking at the software reports to judge things but instead only going on subjective feelings....any change? I know it is a bit soon but had to ask. Did you ever take the time ...
