Re: CPAP and Weight loss...again...

I know my friends weight loss caused her to go from a medium to a small mask. I also do not report to anyone although my PCP will ask how I am doing with my CPAP. I do not use a DME or go thru insurance..I don't need them. I come here when I need answers. I read a lot of the old posts to. Good luck!...

Good plan.
Most of the members here are OK.
When someone pokes me, I usually figure it is because their pain is greater than mine.
Thanks....I agree..sometimes we react out of frustrations.

Re: Cpaptalk.com vs Apneaboard.com

Well I didn't get my original question answered but I did get the apnea forum owner to remove it all for me. The reason I did not like it started by reading this thread about it from the beginning so I decided to go check it out. I read through a lot of their threads. I agree with all you have poste...

Re: Cpaptalk.com vs Apneaboard.com

I peeked at the other forum and hate it! I tried to edit/remove my information and see no where to do so. I emailed them asking my info to be deleted along with my joining/membership. Does anyone know how I can do it myself?

Re: Flonase (fluticasone)

That stuff really works. I've been breathing clear since the first squirt. Dr. Google says that there are no ill effects from prolonged use. Can that be true? It's not expensive and it's not difficult to use. My son used Flonase years ago for his seasonal allergies. After a few months he started ha...

Re: Don't need to be in compliance
I am going to visit with a DME next week to see what the deal is with my insurance even though I should have my machine delivered today.
You might do better just calling your insurance company for answers. That is way to much if it comes to $165 monthly..way more then the cost of o...

Re: Rediscovered ResMed AirFit F20 FFM

When I originally purchased the ResMed AirFit F20 FFM it was uncomfortable and noisy. I recently took a chance and ordered large headgear (it ships with smaller headgear) and the new QuietAir Elbow that has been shipping with the F20 since mid-June. It makes a great difference using this new setup....

Re: Don't need to be in compliance

I'm going to say ONE THING in defense of Crapria and LinDon'tCare (probably for the first time ever!) and that is that IF you have Medicare or a contracted insurance company they are correct that it may be illegal (Medicare) or a violation of their contracts with your insurer to sell a CPAP machine...

I hear ya about the anxiety over your Mom! :) I always have PLENTY to be anxious about with a 99 yr old mom and 3 grown kids with their issues! :D
Yes I am on HRT and plan on staying on it. Re: Don't need to be in compliance

Its never illegal to by pass your insurance in lieu of cash. I found and bought from a place that doe not accept insurance or bother with it in any way. cpap.com. For me this was perfect after what I had been through. It's not illegal for YOU to pay cash in lieu of using your insurance but it is IL...

Re: Post Menopausal Women and OSA

I've been reading studies today that CLEARLY indicate a higher incidence of insomnia and OSA in post-menopausal women. Indications were that hormone replacement therapy can be helpful in reducing OSA even for those of us over 65! I told my DR that I started noticing my symptoms of snoring and insom...
