Re: How can I remove water from O2 tubing?

Sounds like condensation to me. My FIL had over a 100 ft of line on his concentrator and it happened often in winter, especially since he didn't have central heat and let the temperature in the house fall down to the dew point at night. The solution is a much shorter oxygen line, or a warmer house a...

Advice needed

My wife has a Resmed S9 brick supplied by our very ignorant Medical Supply company, and for some reason I have not been able to figure out it sometimes turns the humidifier completely off. I cannot depend on it to come on when the machine is started and have to check it every time. We live in a part...

Re: Best bed

I've had everything mentioned so far. Inner spring, water bed, select comfort, top of the line Sealy posteurpedic, Bed-in-a-box, and now Temperpedic. Inner springs broke and poked, water beds leaked or heater quit, select comfort is the same as a Walmart air mattress and the compressor quit, Sealy p...

Re: SoClean 2: Am I a sucker??

Ozone at 2 ppm has been shown to kill bacteria in under 1 minute.

I thought this board would be a good place to learn. I have learned. I probably won't be back.

Re: SoClean 2: Am I a sucker??

Here is a little info on how Ozone works to kill microorganisms in water. Anybody got a humidifier tank ? The SoClean machine is an ozone generator. It pumps ozone through the water in the water tank and returns it into the box through the hose and mask. Ozone is commercially used as a sanitizer for...

Re: SoClean 2: Am I a sucker??

Answers to the above posts: We have never used anything but distilled water, and if you've never rubbed your finger around inside your humidifier tank you have a surprise coming your way. Have you ever cleaned your humidifier tank ? No one in this thread seemed to mention that. Some of them (System ...

Re: SoClean 2: Am I a sucker??

Left unwashed the humidifier chamber will build up a slimy scum on the walls. It can't really be seen but it can be felt. I know its alive. It is the same slick feeling stuff that builds up in your cat or dog's water bowl. To clean it, bleach is best, but who wants to inhale chlorine all night. Dish...

Re: Long time user new to the board

Thank You Pugsy. You are very helpful. I have a lot of reading to do. I have to decide between the PR Dreamstation and the ResMed 10 I guess. My main wants are a heated hose and auto adjusted humidity. If there are others that can do these things I need to find them and learn about them. I have read...

Re: Long time user new to the board

Thank you Julie. I downloaded the app and read the card and the app reports that all that is on it is compliance data. Rather useless I suppose. Pugsy - It is a 250P if I am reading the right number. Old enough that when I filled out my profile I couldn't find it listed. D.H. Equipment profile attem...

Long time user new to the board

I was prescribed a bpap in 2004 I think. I had the Phillips M series. My sleep study in 2004 set my pressure at 18. After 6+ years of use on that machine I heard rumors that the M series had faulty logic and did not always hold pressure. My insurance would not replace it without another sleep study ...
