Re: No CPAP related but def sleep related question

It took over 5 years for me to be diagnosed needing a hip replacement, I could hardly walk. Bed time was awful. They prescribed diclofenac (generic for VOLTAREN) for me and I was on it for 8 years. It controlled the pain with 75mg pills twice per day. Be sure to drink a large amount of water as it i...

Re: Lowered Pressure

The most important question is how do you feel? Rested, sluggish, tired in the afternoon??? I feel best when I can keep my AHI less than 1; but that might not be the same for you. An AHI of <5 is considered treated but that might or might not apply to you. Did you feel better as you lowered the pres...

Re: a melting humidifier tank??

The humidifier setting can be lowered and the water will last longer, I personally think the water storage tanks are too small.

Re: Does this get any easier? New CPAP user

Welcome to the forum uff da I think you will find loads of excellent advice here. If you went through your insurance and a DME you can exchange the mask for another one during the first month. The mask is the tough part of CPAP treatment. Since you are determined to succeed let us know what mask you...

Re: Cant sleep

Souldin
THe airsense 10 autoset has a ramp function that by default starts at 4 and then ramps up to the set pressure allowing you to go to sleep. You can change the ramp start pressure to 8 and it should solve the problem I turn ramp off.

Re: Aaaaand again: newbie struggles topic

You might want to try another mask. The F20 airfit is very popular as is the dreamwear mask. The p10 airfit does have silicone seal that basically inflates when the mask is pressurised. I have higher pressure than you and I do not have leak problems sleeping on either side or back.

Hang in there airmech

Government is slow but health insurance and doctors are slower. Have faith, it will work out because you are vested and are following up on everything. If the cpap does not work, it can be changed. The resmed does full reporting.

Re: Blocked nose at night: vasomotor/nonallergic rhinitis?

I have had nasal congestion most of my life. I use a full face mask FFM. Surprisingly my nose clears after a few minutes and then I breath through my nose.
