Just tried Good Morning Snore Solution mouth piece

Just tried Good Morning Snore Solution. It's a lite blue flexibly mouth piece that pulls your tongue forward. It looks like a pacifier with wings. You insert the wings under you lips in front of your teeth and stick your tongue in the bulb and suck out the air. It holds your tongue by suction. and m...

Re: Using CPAP With A Sinus Infection?

My cpap gave me Vaso motor rhinitis. My nose runs 24 hours a day. This condition is not an infection and doesn’t respond to meds. My nose plugs up and then runs in mask and without. I can’t wear my nose or full face masks so I’ve stopped until I get a mouth mask. When I stop using cpap it completely...

Hallucinations from sleep deprivation

The “I Feel Terrible” post got me thinking about my Epogogic hallucination from severe insomnia. They,re not psychosis, it,s a brain/dream thing 6 to 10% of the population experience. The most common are blinking columns of light and, for some reason, spiders and snakes. I got past the spiders. No s...

Re: One year in and I still feel horrible

Ambient give you hallucinations but also does sleep deprivation/apnea. They’re called non psychotic epogogic hallucinations. 6 to 10% of the population have them, probably more. It’s a brain/sleep/dream thing. You wake up and apiece of a dream you don’t remember is projected out. I had a hallucinati...

Oracle mouth mask?

Think of getting Oracle mask because of chronic stuffy nose and runny nose all day after using cpap. Is this a good idea. Have read mouth masks are less effective treating apnea.

Re: Worried about past two nights

This is a question. How do you get such specific data out of your c/apap? All I get from my Airsence 10 web site is hours of use divided into total number of incidents plus number of mask leaks. Do you take out your chip and put it in your computer? Do I need a different brand of CPAP that gives bet...

Re: How to Solve Humidity Problems

I live in a very dry, high altitude environment. I have severe dry nose and throat. I bought a gallon tank, cool and warm steam humidifier($100 on Amazon,\but worth it). I put the intake on my cpap near the humidifier so it sucks in more moist air during the night. I use distilled water in the humid...

Re: Allergic to CPAP?

I have a heated hose set at 84, humidity 5 because of water spitting into mask. I was pretty much just handed my machine and first mask with no orientation. The techs here a very young and not very interested in patient issues. Also, I live at 7200 feet in a very dry, dusty environment.

Allergic to CPAP?

I've had a CPAP for almost a year. I was diagnosed with moderate to serve apnea altho I had a cold at the time of the home test. I was given a Resmed Airsense 10. It seems to stay at the highest setting (13) all the time. My nostrils totally dry up and prickle constantly, and my nose often stuffs up...
