Re: Help for Bipap newbie

Regardless of how this goes, I want you guys to understand that you have provided more useful feedback and helpful advice than any of the four sleep clinics and three DME vendors I've dealt with during these last two years. I appreciate your efforts a lot, to put it mildly. The obstructive diagnosis...

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

Please show 5 minutes of CA cluster. How do you feel? Yes I would go lower on pressure. https://photos.app.goo.gl/up632z6UKk1JVXbB3 And last night: https://photos.app.goo.gl/U9o7EIjuAxkPUX3h1 I'm exhausted as usual, but I also haven't slept more than 4 hours either of the past two days. Hooray work...

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

First night: I think I should lower the pressure instead of raise it. Thoughts?

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

Is that not effectively what I'm doing with the machine now, by setting the PS to 0? I don't disagree, though. No. I mean set the mode to CPAP so auto pressure changes do not happen. On March 1st you shared your file. I reviewed and responded a few times. To me it looks like your high pressure even...

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

Further evidence to the "high pressures don't help" notion. I've zoomed in on an area because I am wondering if anyone knows what is causing the pressure to ramp here? There are no significant changes in leak rate, snore detection, no events logged except that first central... https://photos.app.goo...

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

I really don't know. I've never had clear sleep/wake cycles, and for the most part some sleep = no sleep = good sleep = bad sleep, so it just blurs together. I think this is what you meant, although it is a 10 minute section. Let me know if you were referring to a different sort of "zoom" so to spea...

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

Working the pressure down slowly, it seems 14 is probably the sweet spot.
This one is 12, but I still spent most of the night at 14-15.

Way better than the old machine, so there's that, but it seems like the centrals are back for some reason.

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

Things have been quite hectic lately, but I've got back on track (sort of.) A few updates... 1) I am getting my tonsils removed in late May (to be sure I've met my deductible before then, yay insurance.) 2) My DME let me switch to a Resmed Aircurve 10 vAuto. 3) Because of #2, I lost my previous slee...

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

Good news: adding ps 2 didn't seem to increase the centrals at all. Yay! Bad news: after a few weeks of back-and-forth with my insurance, DME vendor, and sleep doctor, we've come to the conclusion that I can switch the Respironics for a Resmed machine (refurb or used) from the DME. The sleep doc wil...

Re: Help for Bipap newbie

Getting my tonsils removed is part of the long-term plan, actually. I'm really unsure on whether I'm having positional issues or not. I took off the collar for the last 1/3rd of the night here, and it doesn't seem to change much. https://photos.app.goo.gl/B302wPqxhqgwGsft2 I'm going to adjust the mi...
