Re: SleepyHead report & any tips for a newbie?

Actually your leaks are better managed than mine   Well, that's unexpected  Thanks, guys, last night was even smoother than the last three ones, and I am even feeling a little refreshed (and this would never happen to me at 8 AM before  ). Again, thank you all for your kind help...

You might want to look into wearing a soft cervical collar to keep your head up and jaw (if not lips) closed.
I heard about those cervical collars here and it seems that some people really do well with them. I will consider buying one if I can't keep my mouth shut.
Thanks, Julie!

SleepyHead report & any tips for a newbie?

Well, last night was my third night using CPAP and I would like to get some opinions and tips to a few things. 1) As far as I can tell, my SleepyHead report is pretty good, but I could use some tips if there's any. Is there anything that you guys can see that would indicate some issue? There was one...

Re: CPAP not for me

If I loose 2 years because I choose not to use this cap machine, so be it. The thing about sleep apnea is that it does not give us the luxury to die. It makes us feel already dead. You see, you probably already know that dying is not the worst thing that one could get, it's living a bad life. It's ...

Re: No hose, straps or cord

As far as we know, Airing is BS, it's a scam. It's been a while since the last "update" and they don't even have a prototype yet. Until now, they got a shit ton of money and provided only "images merely illustrative".

Re: Sleep Apnea Bed

So what happens when you have to sleep in a different bed, or your bed breaks, or the power goes out? Well, pretty weak arguments. The OP's books under the bed won't need power, you know. And the two last problems also apply to XPAP therapy. If the power goes out or if our machines break, we're scr...

Re: What should I share from Sleepyhead?

I suggest you choose for a while to purposefully not look at your data (not even your screen data) until the day is over and you've already journaled how you felt that day. If you see a pattern develop that how you feel and higher AHI are in sync, you can stop the experiment. Wonderful advice, @kte...

Re: First night on CPAP with some interesting results....

yup, I can lower the alarm. I thought that anything under 90 was really bad and I didn't want to starve my body too much of 02. My biggest fear is the machine is causing the onset of central SA and it could get worse really messing my 02 level during sleep. Hopefully in the next few days I will hav...

If that last, probably smartassed, reply was directed towards me... I'm not going to bother to read it, because you're on my 'not worth my time' foe list now.
And this, everyone, is the classic example of a pigeon playing chess.

waste Oh, c'mon, you learned something, don't be ungrateful. I did... that responding to any of your questions is a waste of time. You form an opinion, then pretend to ask a question, so you can argue with anything that doesn't agree with your preconceived notion. As you say, I learned my lesson. A...

but then you started the passive-aggressive behavior mode *shrugs*, you can lead a horse to water... Frankly, Palerider was not the only person being agressive or passive agressive. Both of you did your share of it. Well, I admit that "although you didn't read it" contained a bit of sarcasm, but it...

Thank you, you didn't find the article I was talking about, but another one with the same content (although you didn't read it). It's after Table 2 under "AutoCPAP": " ResMed AutoSet evaluates flow every breath looking for apneas, snore, and flow limitation, but responds to flow limitation on a 3-b...

Re: Getting treatment soon and I'm a bit scared (plus: anyone prefers Dreamstation over AirSense?)

Well, I was actually looking for an article that I saw once comparing the algorithms (remember, the AirSense 10 - specially the FH version - probably has a different algorithm comparing to the older S9 in the video) and showing this diference between them - the article was, as expected, more detail...
