Re: provider I have a question for ya??

Turning the cflex off is a matter of choice for many. It does not change your prescription. With the cflex on, it will reduce the pressure you are breathing out against, and depending on your pressure setting, it may may it more comfortable for you to exhale. It is a matter of personal choice. THe R...

Re: Day 4.....Feeling Fantastic !

Glad to hear you are doing well. I had similar results when starting - it took around 3-4 days to feel unbelievably better (after 15 yrs of misdiagnosis).

Re: Mositure in my tube

I use the AUssie heated hose - it costs about US $ 120, I think. It was worth the investment for me, as I love to keep the humidifier setting all the way up. WIth the heated hose, I get no rainout. You can google it as Aussie Heated CPAP hose.

Re: Newbie here, DME experience

I just got that machine as a replacement for my broken down machine, and I love it. It is very quiet.

I am very lucky too - I have a great DME as well!

Re: How often does your Ins. Co.

From what I was told by DME - Machine - every 5 yrs Mask and headgear - every 6 mos, cushion for mask - every 3 mos, chin strap every 6 mos; they send filters with the new mask. I have had stuff break before the time frame (head gear clips, mask cushion ripped), and they have given it to me without ...

Thanks for the feedback
Keep them for spare parts - if a piece breaks one one or a head gear clip falls off and we can't find it, - we will alwyas have a sprae.

Re: I just found out I have to travel in two weeks....

I have an S8 and and integrated humidifier which separates for placement into the travel bag. I put each of the components in a clear zip-top gallon bag (doesn't need to be sealed) just for extra protection - on our trip last week, they asked me to remove it from the travel bag like a lap top, and p...

C-3 SMARTCARD_BAD_CIB_VERSION Card is corrupt and should be reprogrammed E-79 ERR_UNDER_PRESSURE_REG •Occluded or restricted tube •Defective PCA •Replace Pressure tubing •Replace Main PCA This what I found from antoher post here. Sounds like you need to get a new machine, or have it repaired. I also...

Re: Time to order a new mask should I try nasal pillows?

I am a side sleeper too and I love my Activa. I have tried nasal pillows - Breeze, Swift and Swift LT for her - with no success. THey are very loose when I out them on, seal well, but my nostrils KILL me after only a few hours with them, even with lubrication and adjustments. Everyone has had differ...

Re: Going on a cruise

[quote Nokomis, I have been on several cruises with cpap. Sometimes it takes a little ingenuity, but it can be done. First, I always carry on my cpap machine. I do not trust the baggage handlers with it. I also carry on a few 16 oz. Gatorade bottles filled with distilled water in my luggage. If you ...

Re: does a DME have to do the set up in your home?

I just got an S8 Elite ii with EPR about 2 months ago. It is a wonderful machine and it is MUCH quieter than my RemStar Auto with C flex was. I also got a Humaidaire 4i integrated humidifier. LOve the machine! On a side note, for my original machine (which died) and my new replacement machine the S8...

Re: switching to a full face mask

The Quattro is a good start, in my opinion. Remember that not every mask works for every person - so it is very personal, but there are many people here who use the Quattro and do well with it. It is not my primary mask - only the mask I use when congested. My leak rates are comparable to those with...
