Re: If I'm gonna be a dog why intentionally choose Chihuahua!?!
I'd likely opt for stock tubing diameters wherever possible tho I'm quite adept at a manual lathe with DRO. I can also walk over to a 3-axis CNC mill but 5-axis gets confusing to me at this age. Having access to a small diameter tubing mandrel bender, metal brake and programmable chop saw doesn't br...

If I'm gonna be a dog why intentionally choose Chihuahua!?!
And no, nothing wrong with Chihuahuas beyond their diminutive size for my purposes of expression. Decided today to break free, stop holding back and bury myself headlong into this! Went to our sponsor today and ordered some things. Hose brush even tho prolly unneeded I just 'want' one. Even if I onl...

and while I'm unwilling to carve the below numbers in stone I do see at least a promise of improvement based on a smidge of data complimented by how I'm feeling the past couple days. First, I did reduce my sleeping O2 from 3.0 L/min to 2.5 and may go to 2.0 in another day or two. Beyond that I've le...

Any experience with CPAP/normal activity post PVP surgery?
I was scheduled this past Friday for PVP green light laser surgery on Oct 18 at/by the VA. While touted as being done on an outpatient basis, 23 of my previous in-patient VA-related 'GA' (general anesthesia) surgical procedures since September 1969, roughly half of my 6 total initial outpatient proc...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset vs Aircurve 10 VAUTO
In an effort to keep like/similar posts together I'll post my 1st night's AirCurve 10 Auto results here: Old Machine: Started use 02-08-18 AirSense 10 AutoSet Set to Auto Min 7 Max 13 (Yes I struggled with superstition using this #. My OCD is alive, well and unaffected by OSA) EPR Off New Machine: U...

Re: Setting up new machine had a brain lapse...
Done! Piece-O-Cake fix thanks to the Devine Ms Pugsy. Thank you so very much! Was dreading dragging the old one back out and using it a few more days after cleaning it up and packing it away then doing battle with my self-inflicted bugaboo on the new one.

Setting up new machine had a brain lapse...
This problem has been mentioned here before and while possible to correct, I'm going to need a helping hand since I'm unable to find mention of it in the archive. Basically I set it up for Sept 1st instead of August 31st and now it prompts me that I can't set the date/time for an earlier/previous da...

Re: Colonoscopy & BiPap
I've had a dozen or more c-scopes in clinics when I was covered by private insurance. In 2008 during one the Dr said "damn I may have perforated your bowel" while trying to take a polyp biopsy during the procedure. They told me to get dressed and go to their affiliated hospital ER. I drove myself th...

Re: Colonoscopy & BiPap
BINGO! I wasn't offered so much as a Valium in the 90's and mid 2000's for a colonoscopy. Jus go in, grease up & assume the fetal position. Admittedly not a pleasant or fun experience by any stretch but no root canal either. Lately tho the VA has started a mild dose of Fentanyl (sp?) which while not...

Re: Mask leak. Dreamwear FFM
For me and my facial topography I also suffered a slight-to-moderate leak at the point where my nostrils contact the upper cushion of the nasal mask. Through many nights of fussing/fidgeting with many strap tensional changes I've managed to minimize but not completely eliminate leakage at that point...

Re: Two new/unopened DWFFM for sale Med/Med...
tsk tsk tsk... Trust me on this; the DAV is a L-O-T less persnickety about a couple $100+ donations than the VA is about unopened/returned prescriptions.

Two new/unopened DWFFM for sale Med/Med...
http://www.cpaptalk.com/download/file.php?mode=view&id=1530&sid=06b34eee29509881ed2735a32d54f3ce I received two DWFFM's last week that are incorrectly-sized for me. They're sending out correctly-sized masks this week or next. I offered to send these back or donate directly to the VA sleep clinic but...

Re: Resmed 10 HEPA filters?
While I don't have anything as effecient as a HEPA on my Autoset as is on my O2 concentrator, I have experimented from time to time with a mask-mounted AB filter. What I do and have done since day one is use dual filters in my machine's intake inlet. Simply one OEM filter stacked atop the other. Tig...

Re: Changed mask size from M to L - Wow!
Same thing here. Started down this road with a medium F20 and had nose bridge soreness that turned into a blister/abrasion within a day or two. Switched to large with the F20 and the subsequent blister took nearly 5 months to reoccur. Threw in the towel on the F20. Next tried the DWFF in medium. No ...
