Re: Dry Mouth
Thank you all for the great advice. I have not used Oscar before this. I have used "my air" which only gives average data. I looked over about the last two weeks and I can see that right before almost all of the times that I have woken up, I have a pretty big leak event, so that makes total sense no...

Dry Mouth
I have been using a resmed air sense with a nasal pillow successfully for several years and suddenly having trouble. I wake up 2-3 times per night with very dry mouth. The amount of leak has definitely crept up but still well below threshold. Replaced all the gear, still having trouble. I have recen...

Rested Usleep
Any one else have trouble with USleep on-line system. I got a request to reset my password but the new password didn't work, old password didn't work. Sent a request to reset again, never heard back. Put in a customer service ticket, didn't hear back. Sent an e-mail, didn't hear back. Called custome...

Re: HELP - feeling overwhelmed and like I'm going to fail
sorry to hear about all the problems that you are having. It is difficult if you come from a family that emphasized "toughness" over self expression and those are really important issues to discuss with your therapist, especially those regarding trauma from sexual assault. It sounds like you are hav...

Re: How long to adjust?
It took me a few weeks of playing with temp and humidity setting and ramp times to find settings that were right for me before I was sleeping easily with the cpap. Don't give up.

Re: How to improve quality of sleep - what works for you?
As someone with long standing issues with insomnia, I feel your pain. There is lots of good advice on this thread but I had one more thought. Light from lap top screens tends to be in the blue part of the visual spectrum, which your brain reads as "day time". So, good sleep hygiene says "don't use y...

Re: Diagnosed Apnea CPAP treatment led to Tinnitus then Menieres
I had similar problem when starting with the cpap. Both tinnitus and Menieres could be caused by clenching your teeth. I did this when first using a nasal pillow because I was worried about mouth leak and developed pretty serious temporomandibular joint pain. My dentist told me how to properly posit...

Re: Ok, Enough's Enough.. Surgery Advice please :(
It sounds very frustrating. I had an issue with sores on my nose when first started sleeping with a nasal pillow. I had this idea that the thing had to be really tight to my face so was using a small nasal pillow and the head strap super tight. I decided to go up a size and loosen the strap and the ...

neck pain
I switched from being a side-sleeper to a back-sleeper when I started using the cpap. It works great but I am having neck pain. I switched pillows (from very thick to super flat) and that helped some. I also sometimes sleep without a pillow which helps more but is not so comfortable. Any suggestions?
