Airfit N30i nasal cushion

Curious. Has anyone else thrown in the redesigned cushion into water for cleaning, forgetting to remove the filter? This was a first and hopefully only time. I had no problem with the original and wish it were still an option.

Re: Dreamstation 2 night 2--ramp feels different

Grumpy48, Thank you for your suggestion to turn off ramp. I'll try that. Adjusting to this new machine is difficult. I'd like to know how the design department decided these changes in the new water tank setup made sense for the user. Night 4, machine is 3+ hours on a tank. Maybe it's age. I sleep 3...

Dreamstation 2 night 2--ramp feels different

Recall replacement sat for 3 months after opening. At 80 I don't adapt well to change. Dreamstation 2 is overwhelmingly different. Local health office people went over basics Monday, confirming machine-to-machine data exchange was done. Sleep close to normal 1/10/2023, though ramp stage was weird. N...

Re: Chin Strap recommendations please

Age 80. Diagnosed 2017. I tried various chin straps the first year or so without success. How about taping your mouth? Somnifix is one I tried and continued for a while (Amazon carries several brands). Eventually used plain old on-hand medical tape. You could try that first. It can work. A year ago,...

ResMed Mirage FX nasal mask

Five months in and adjustment to the CPAP experience has been relatively smooth. Last week the nasal mask seemed frequently out of position with resulting leaks and squeaks. After a couple of days, changed to new cushion but the problem persists. I use a HALO chinstrap and Scrunci under headgear to ...

Cervical Collar: Do you want to try one for mouth breathing/snoring?

One Cervical Collar ordered from Amazon. Size: Average. Latex free/soft foam/medium support. $10. Not fancy. Had hopes, but it isn't going to work for me. I did not use it, tried it once around my neck. PM me if interested. I will mail. No cost to you.

Bruce Willis reference:

Laughed at this. I have to wear a chin strap and am acutely aware of dent marks on my cheeks in the morning. :-}
Am getting a brand new style by mail tomorrow. Almost certain there will be no more marks.

How does a CPAP machine register sleep cycles?

I don't know how to phrase this question to search the forum. During the home sleep study (3) and especially the hospital titration study data was accumulated with all the lead attachments (32), but if the only connection to my DreamStation is a heated hose, how is information about sleep patterns, ...

Re: Wife unable to tolerate CPAP noise.... Help!!!!

What about "white noise"? The sound of running water or rain on repeat can effectively block noise and be helpful in getting to sleep as a bonus. A fan can work as well. My late husband and son were both volunteer firemen in our small NJ town so, please, I have to ask with concern if it's safe to ha...
