Extreme teeth sensitivity, dry mouth
Ive used an Amara Full View Mask about 2 years. I've had trouble on and off with dry mouth but now it is much worse and I'm experiencing teeth sensitivity. I've read that a dry mouth can cause many problems with the teeth and am very concerned about what to do. Has anyone had success in eliminating ...

Dry mouth with Amara Full view
Hello, I was wearing a nasal mask originally and it always made my mouth extrremely dry. I was told I must be mouth breathing. So I switched to a full mask, the Amara which I find comfortable but I wake up a few times with no moisture in my mouth. MY AIR shows no leakage. Any sugggestions?

Nosebleed
had a nosebleed this morning and still experiencing a little blood several hours later. I've read that nosebleeds with a C-Pap mask can be caused by low humidity. I have my humidity set at the highest level - 8 and the temperature at 82. Any suggestions?

Solved the dry mouth issue!
After having dry mouth with a nasal C-Pap mask and also with a full face C-Pap mask, I bought Therabreath Dry Mouth Rinse. Have been using it by rinsing for 1 minute before putting on my mask (either one) and I have absolutely NO dry mouth. It was bad - I would wake up a few times with dry tongue, g...

Re: Dry mouth with full face mask
Thank you for all the feedback. I will make some adjustments on the machine. I also bought the xylitol lozenges mentioned. I am using an Amara Full View Mask. I also have a Res Med Airfit N20 Nasal which I used last night, but that always shows up as leakage even though I don't feel any leakage and ...

Dry mouth with full face mask
I had a nasal C-Pap mask and experienced dry mouth. Now I have a full face mask and am still experiencing this. It was easier to drink water with the nasal mask, now I have to take the whole mask off. Even if I am lying in bed trying to fall asleep, I am still getting dry mouth so I know I am not mo...

Heart and Apnea
Hello,
I was dx with mitral valve regurgitation and my cardiologist told me that apnea causes the RVSP numbers to increase which was shown on an echocardiogram. I started using a C-Pap recently and it supposed to reduce the numbers and was wondering if any of you have had this issue?
Thank You.

How Important is Leakage
I've had problems with leakage with all the masks I've tried. Sometimes I don't feel them but they register on myair.com. With the newest mask, an Amara View, I definitely feel the leaks. I'm only into this C-Pap experience for 2 months. If my AHI is low, does it really matter if the leakage is betw...

Masks Ive tried
Wow this is so difficult. Still trying to find a mask since the end of Nov. I used an Eson Nasal during sleep study. Cant cope with vertical plastic bar on forehead. F & P Bevida Pillow didnt give me enough air. Couldnt sleep at all. ResMed Airfit N20 was most comfortable but caused chipmunk cheeks ...

Re: Help - first time was horrible
Hang in there! I'm new to C-Pap therapy too. I had a pillow mask and loved that it was small and comfortable but I couldn't get enough air. When I switched to the nasal pillow I felt relieved with more air but I had alot of leakage and now am experimenting with full face masks because my therapist t...

Perplexed
Started off with a pillow mask the end of November. I loved how small it was. I wasn't getting enough air and never slept with it. Switched to a nasal pillow and felt relieved with more air and was able to sleep with the C-Pap for the first time. Then I started getting air in my cheeks and extremely...

Re: "Lose the Weight and your Sleep Apnea Will Go away!"
I am very careful what I reveal and talk about to people. People just love giving their opinions and supposed expertise on subjects. Only my family and a couple close friends know about my apnea diagnosis and c-pap. Your story makes me realize that I have made the right decision. So sorry you had to...

Re: Mouth leaks
I didnt notice leaks in my masks but my reports showed significant high leaks nightly. I tried a pillow mask and a nasal mask but no improvement. I went to a full face mask which I am still getting used to but the leaks have been eliminated . I never showed mouth breathing during my sleep studies.

Re: Dry mouth
I had an extremely dry mouth and air in my cheeks with pillow mask and nasal mask. I now use a full face mask. Still getting used to it but my reports show that leakage has stopped and I no longer have dry mouth.
