Re: Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

These settings seem to be working really well. It's right on the edge of rainout which I think I need.

Re: Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

Tube temp of 86 and humidity of 6 seemed to work great last night! Nose didn't burn and no rainout.
Best sleep I've had in a while

Re: Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

I think you need to increase the hose temp to at least 78 and put humidity to 4 or so. it’s been a long time since I had to calculate dew point but I think with your low temp setting on the hose you are creating the rainout. Is there a problem with a higher hose temp of >= 78F? My previous machine ...

Re: Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

Warmer hose air will NOT dry out the nose but less humidity sure will. You need more humidity to keep the nose happy but with your bedroom temps preferred that sets things up just ripe for condensation happening. You need to increase the hose air temp and it won't dry out your nose. I use a setting...

Re: Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

I haven't held the hose but when I had it set to auto I could feel warmer air for sure. Would the higher hose temp reduce the relative humidity and dry nose out more? Warmer air should be from the heated humidifier, not just the hose. Next time you try it hold the hose after a few minutes and see i...

Re: Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

Thanks for the info. That is close to my setup. Though the hose temp seems too low. Try it again with hose temp at 81 and humidity at 4 as a baseline. When you hold the ClimateLine hose while using the machine does it feel slightly warm after a few minutes? If not the hose may be faulty. Something ...

Re: Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

I think your hose temp setting is way too low. I set mine at 82 degrees, even though my bedroom is cool like yours. For my ResMed I find that if I set the humidity level at 3 the water does not run out on me, thus allowing my nose to feel fine. I never have rainout at all. I guess my concern is tha...

Re: Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

Room temperature is about 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Room RH is about 40 ish%. Ive tried machine with hose temp being controlled automatically with humidity set to 4 and also whatever the max setting is. Both times woke up with really dry nose that burned. Ive also tried setting hose temp to 67 with hum...

Dialing in comfort with humidity and heater hose?

Was wondering if there are any tips or suggestions on dialing in comfort. Recently bought a airsense 10 autoset with 300 hours on it. I also have the climate line hose. The problem I had with dreamstation and now airsense 10 is that I either have rainout but otherwise comfortable or no rainout and m...

Re: Fingers crossed Vitamin D is my fix!

Vitamin d is very important for immune system. Just got my 50000 iu vitamin d2 in mail today. I've been taking 5000 d3 for a week or so now and I'm still tired but the awful body aches everywhere in body are gone! Also I have blood glucose meter because I've been borderline diabetic and noticed blo...

Re: Fingers crossed Vitamin D is my fix!

Interesting discussion USMCVet - Oorah!! I recently had my annual with the VA and my Vit D, 25 level was recorded at 18.2 ng/ml. The Doc sent me a prescription in the mail & has instructed me to take 2000 IU of D3 daily until I see her again in May. Reading through this thread though...has definite...

Re: Fingers crossed Vitamin D is my fix!

What kind of pain? Some of mine seems nuerological and other seems muscle fatigue. Basically my whole body feels like I'm sick all the time. Rest does not help much. If I do nothing and lounge for 4 days straight I get mild relief but other then that it just progressively gets worse and massage hel...

Re: Fingers crossed Vitamin D is my fix!

I laid it all out there including exhaustion, muscle pain and spasms, muscle fatiguability, and basically whole body hurts. That was me several years ago. Vitamin D3 was PART of the answer but not the whole thing. My pain went away, DISAPPEARED, GONE, when I eliminated grains and sugar from my diet...
