Re: thirsty at night
I am also a mouth breather and it took a little time to "train" myself to not breathe through my mouth. Prior to CPAP, I would wake up with severe dry mouth and easily go through a bottled water or more per night. I still get a little dry mouth but it is a much finer grain, if that makes sense. I co...

Re: Well it's been fun

However, I've also gotten to the point where I do not need to "entertain" myself with other peoples nonsense. I think the idea of this forum is great, and I will search wh...

Re: Sleep Study last night....wow
Regarding "shallow breathing"...I'm sure I did not use proper terms....but it was too shallow. 1st night was pretty good. It wasn't the glorious awe inspiring difference I got in the sleep test, but it was very good. I slept well, woke up once to get up instead of 6 times. First night...still adjust...

Sleep Study last night....wow
Tech said I was a a mix of stopping breathing and very shallow breathing and the "occurances" were measured between 70 and 100 per hour. It was a split study so after an hour or so they put the mask on me...and it was amazing. Once I figured out not to breathe out my mouth....it was great. Did not n...

Re: in the mean time....
Whoops, when i posted i was logged in as Guest. No wonder i didn't see any replies. Thanks for the responses. Yes, I have been researching this extensively, but most of the posts on this site are for when you have a CPAP, not prior...but that makes sense. I am scheduled for Monday night split test a...
