Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
Received an email on December 23rd that my unit has been shipped. When I got home from work, it was sitting on my front porch. This is after recently receiving an email saying it would take up to a year. So, the machines are moving. Good luck all!

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
Just got a confusing email: Your Philips device replacement order is being processed. Thank you for your patience as we work diligently to replace your Philips device. As a reminder, your confirmation code is XXXXXXXXX[redacted]. In some cases, this process may take approximately 12 months. We will ...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
So, I've been following this thread. I watched several videos on how to remove the foam and decided the least damaging way was to use a coat hanger to fish it out of the plastic case. Then, I put everything back together. Tested the unit and the air blowing out was way to strong. It was very difficu...

Re: Major changes - Getting Close to Done with CPAP
. . . get rid of the CPAP and go down to a snore guard or a dental appliance and test under 5 . . . So how will you track nightly AHI then to make sure you NEVER get above 5 AHI? Just like I did before going on CPAP, my wife will tell me to go get tested And how will you keep from feeling miserable...

Re: Major changes - Getting Close to Done with CPAP
Yes, I agree. However, I'm working with a Doc and if I can get rid of the CPAP and go down to a snore guard or a dental appliance and test under 5, then I'm happy. My wife has moderate apnea, I don't recall her numbers and a dental appliance is working for her. She did the test, got the appliance an...

Major changes - Getting Close to Done with CPAP
I haven't been here in awhile, because I adjusted to CPAP much easier than I expected and haven't had any issues. I was still wrestling with high blood pressure and the CPAP didn't do much to bring it down. Then in May I had a heart attack. I was already working on lifestyle changes because of the h...

Re: SoClean CPAP Cleaner: Comments?
I haven’t seen any facts in this thread, but lots of opinion. What is funny is to look at the reviews on Amazon of people who actually own the device. It is rated very well by those who use it.

Re: SoClean CPAP Cleaner: Comments?
I read all of the negative comments on this site, but decided to buy one anyway. If you've got money laying around that you have no use for, why not donate it to a worthwhile charity instead of sending it to scammers? I'm also pretty good about reading through group think. Have you ever used one? I...

Re: SoClean CPAP Cleaner: Comments?
I read all of the negative comments on this site, but decided to buy one anyway. I like it. It gives me a place to put my mask that is clean when not in use. Also, I do not have to change the water in my reservoir except when it runs out. If SoClean happens to zap a few cells of bacteria with Ozone,...

Ya know, after reading this I can easily see someone with a chin strap, taped mouth, soft cervical collar, CPAP mask and now goggles. Getting ready for bed would take as much time as getting ready to go out.

Re: Changes To CPAPtalk Operating and Moderation Practices
It seems that this ban, no matter how well deserved in the views of many here happened without allowing a warning or a chance to change behavior. No, not true. He was actually given many, many warning about how his behavior and speech were unacceptable. The warnings were private and not public. For...

Re: Changes To CPAPtalk Operating and Moderation Practices
Glad to see this, but sad to see banning happened. As a new member, I learned quickly to ignore those that gave bad advice and found some of the posts entertaining. It was obvious that someone had way too much time on their hands and used this forum as a form of release. I have an autistic adult son...

Just to pile on - I too had the same feeling. I raised my starting pressure from 4 to 6.5 the feeling went away.
