MyAir app for Android

Resmed just launched the MyAir Android app. Pretty slick, including fingerprint authentication. It works just like the website.

Re: CPAP and eyes

I found this. https://www.aoa.org/news/clinical-eye-care/sleep-apneas-effect-on-the-eyes Don't know if I have floppy eye lids or not. My doctors have never commented on it. But, I am going to explore this. I was never diagnosed with severe apnea. I had mild to moderate Hpypopneas. I have to confirm...

Re: How long will this burst of energy last?

So many people have issues along the way that I try not to be too positive. I haven't napped since the first day I strapped in last July. I slept as much as I could stand for two months, like 10 to 14 hours a night, which I haven't been able to do for years. Now I've settled in to about 7.5 hours an...

Re: New to forum...first night questions

The unit is a loner so I will wait until I get the permanent model which will be a Phillips dream something or other before putting any info in my profile. Your timing is fortuitous. Simply put, there are good machines and bad ones. The good ones provide a wealth of data and interface with free sof...

Re: New to forum...first night questions

I don't start out sleeping on my back, but last night I started there to get used to the device. I put water in the unit, but have no idea if it humidifies on it's own or if I need to do something. Welcome. Your mask is a Dreamwear nasal gel pillow. Check the water level. If everything is working r...

. . . the pressure from my face is blocking the air tube on that side, which totally change air pressure in the mask around the head and: 1. It can wake me up, because I can feel not enough air getting thru (usually the side with pressure on) 2. Make my resmed airsense ramp up the pressure higher b...

Springing Forward

I have an awesome alarm clock. It displays the time in simultaneous digital and analog formats. It has eight alarms. Any of them can wake me to music, radio, or just about any sound effect I want. It has the humane waking system, which means the alarms come on softly and get progressively louder unt...

Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE

I've got the following Dreamwear items to trade. I'll trade any of the below for Dreamwear large nasal pillows. All are brand new, never used, never even tried on, exactly as pictured. Just for clarity, the gel nasal pillow is the one with individual nubs that fit into your nostrils. Those are the o...

Like masks, it seems chin straps are kind of a crap shoot. I use and like the Ruby chin strap. Your mileage will vary.

Re: Recommendations for best CPAP machine

The CPAP machine is like a car. The mask is like tires. Lots of different tires fit on that car. Find a set that works for you.

Maybe you can use a nasal mask instead of full face mask. Maybe you can use pillows. Who knows? The world is your oyster. Try the horseradish.

Re: 1st 5 day's numbers...

. . . an even higher incidence of napping which I find surprising. Not that I'm as tired throughout the day as I was prior to the machine's use but moreover what feels to me like an addiction to it, ie; feels so good to awake from using it! I slept like a hibernating bear for the first four months ...

Re: Hair in throat feeling.

I felt that a few years ago. I was constantly digging at my uvula with my finger. Thought I was going crazy until one day about a year after it started I pulled a 7-inch hair out of my throat. No more hairy feeling.
