Re: Choosing a Battery

Had a good test of the capnLoki battery setup recently. Three days with no power here in the NE. Ran with no hose heat and humidity set to 0 each night.
Plenty of power and was able to charge smartphone too.
Thanks CapnLoki!

Re: Devices/programs to help evaluate sleep status

I have been using the Charge 2 for a few months. The only problem wearing it at night for me is that it has very bright display. I like a dark room and It shines brightly when I move my arm, sometimes waking me. I sent Fitbit a suggestion for a night mode with a dimmed display. It would also save ba...

Re: Positive health effects from treatment?

It is too early for me to say. Only 6 weeks using the CPAP. I do notice much better alertness and concentration at work. I have hypertension and I hope it will reduce it.

Re: Looking for home test info

I'm not looking for advice on whether I should or shouldn't do home testing. I'm curious to hear about what products are available, and if anyone here has opinions and/or experiences about the products. Edit: My first test was an at-home test, using ApneaLink https://www.resmed.com/us/en/healthcare...

Re: Card Reader

I have had good luck with this reader. Plugs into USB 2.0 or 3.0 port.

Re: Choosing a Battery

My run test worked fine. I plan on connecting the battery tender weekly to top off and running off battery for a night occasionally to test. I looked at the price of the LiFePO4 battery. (I think I will stick with this setup)

Re: C-pap machine

Re: New member and CPAP user

Thanks Pugsy and LSAT. I will look into EPR if my pressure needs to be increased. It is currently turned off on my machine. No real problems with the 6 pressure setting.

Re: Choosing a Battery

Thanks CapnLoki for posting this information. I put together a battery system using the scooter battery you listed and the Resmed DC converter for my AutoSense 10.
I did power it up on battery and I am going to give it a running/use test soon with heat and humidity off.

Re: New member and CPAP user

It was a home study first. Then a study with a CPAP machine and wires etc. at the hospital sleep lab. Not sure about the centrals, it was mentioned over the phone to me. I will get a complete report from the Doctor.
Thanks for the sleepyhead setting, I will do it.

Re: New member and CPAP user

Thanks!
From reading posts here, I see others with much higher pressure. I found that I had trouble breathing with the higher pressures during the study (exhaling against the pressure, like breathing in a high wind).
Waking myself up (snoring) was my main problem.

Happy to be on the site! I am having success with CPAP after 1 month of use. Energy way up. I had some nose soreness that was reduced using Ayr gel thanks to some of the posts here. The Doctor said I had 34 events/hr mostly centrals. I hope I did the screenshot right: http://i.imgur.com/khQhuoth.png

Re: Audible sound in my tubing...???

My AirSense 10 made gurgling noises in the hose one time that wound up being water trapped in the hose. I ran the mask fit test with the mask off and the air pressure blew it out.
