Janelle, I am using Breeze nasal prongs and have only one size given to me by my DME...not sure what size. I do not tape my mouth and never will. MY RT was horified when I asked her about mouth taping...and so am I, to be honest. Imagine having runoff water in the middle of the night with your mouth...

My two cats went after the hose only after I dressed hose in "snuggle hose" and punctured several holes. I was able to tape hose with wide masking tape untill replacement arrived. Since I've been hiding equipment in a closet. Hose goes on a wide hook high on the door and breeze just below on another...

I was told in night study that night sweats are caused by muscle involvment, or rather struggle for a breath, during the night. Its like running a marathon every night and thus increased perspiration.

Jenewell, I only whish your MD is right about WT loss and apnea improvement, but what about people (like me) who are not at all overweighted and still suffer from sleep apnea? I have put myself on a diet from the day I started using cpap, lost 17lbs so far, but I just don't belive that is the answer...

Hi,

DME respiratory tech told me to use Ayr nasal gel if my nares get irritated. I tried without it first two nights on pillows and it was uncomfortable. Walgreens sells the gel over the counter and its not expensive, but most importantly it helps.
