Re: Help for sore nostrils
If you're looking for something more natural, inert and not sourced from animals (like lanolin) you might give Nozaid a try. It's just pure sesame oil, and gently lubes up the old nose. (I got some on Amazon). Sesame oil?? It's great in my Bulgogi recipe, but how the heck do you stand the smell rub...

I'd say the "proof is in the pudding!" Basically, based on what you have said...it sure sounds like you have things under control.

Best current medical paper tape for overnight mouth taping
Hello everyone. Yes, I tape my mouth overnight with my Cpap use as I have found it was the best for reducing mouth leaks. May not be for everyone, but it works well for me. It seems recently 3M has changed their Micropore product in that the tape now leaves a gross gummy sticky residue after overnig...

Re: Why AHI 2.40 not so good for one night
With clusters of OA like that, it could be possible that there is some chin tucking going on that is increasing those numbers. A soft properly fitted cervical collar (slightly looser than required for neck injury purposes) might help prevent the OA clusters from re-appearing if it continues to be an...

Re: Sore throat - Chin strap, tape?
I suspect that you (like me) are having issues with air escaping past your lips. Also, a chin strap does not fully keep your jaw closed. Occasionally even if your jaw opens a little bit, it is enough to get a large amount of air rushing through your mouth and throat. For me, the only thing that work...

Re: Washing The Hose?
Some people never wash their hoses, others occasionally and some very frequently (if you follow the manufacturer's suggestions.) Everyone swears by their method and really, it is up to you. But speaking personally, I tend to wash the silicone interface on my mask daily. The water tank about every 4-...

Re: Can your wear a mouth guard while using a CPAP
Wearing a grind guard does not interfere with CPAP/APAP use. Try to get one that is fitted by your dentist. I use one with my APAP machine and they don't affect each other at all.

Re: SoClean 2 thoughts opinions??
Given that virtually all manufacturers of any product in any category of any industry looks carefully and diligently for add-on products and/or services to increase their sales and profits - why are there no ResMed "CleanItZone" or Respironics "Ozone2U" ? Maybe (probably) because they wouldn't work...

Re: Hose Buddy vs. the other blue one
I purchased an all metal blue hose holder from Amazon, but not the one you have in your post. This one has no plastic except the loop that holds the hose. It breaks down into small sections and goes into a small pouch which was included. Amazingly compact and very durable. I have not had experience...

Re: Masking up at bedtime
Using a phone right before you go to sleep is a really bad idea. It has been shown to impact your sleep quality. Even with a blue light filter on, I wouldn't use a phone right before bedtime. A better idea would be to read a book to wind down. But to each their own...

Re: Cpaptalk.com vs Apneaboard.com
But saying that if "you dispute too hard" about an issue you will get booted off the board...that is a gross oversimplification. Well.....I know one person who got kicked off that board without warning for telling a moderator (in a PM) that they were wrong about something. Moderator didn't like bei...

Re: Cpaptalk.com vs Apneaboard.com
The Apnea Board and Cpaptalk.com both impose censorship. The Apnea Board moderators enforce their rules which can limit the freedom of discussion. Cpaptalk.com allows forum members to bully others which can have the effect of limiting discussion. When they limit the freedom of discussion , it is ha...

Re: thinking of a new resmed machine, thoughts please?
The regular Airsense 10 Autoset has had a firmware update for some time now that emulates the "for her" extra mode you are referring to. It is a "soft" response that is within the settings. There really is no reason to get the "for her" model now unless you like the coloration. No, you're almost co...
