Re: Afrin nasal spray

I have been through the Afrin ordeal, that was not a fun thing to get over. I will occasionally use Afrin type decongestant but only when needed. I do take one 10 mg Loratadine tablet daily and use Flonaise twice daily, needed or not and this works well for me. since moving to Colorado 10 years ago ...

Re: OT: jnk.. is a meance to society!

JNK IS a menace to this forum and society as a whole! 9 pages his menacing behaviors has created! I would be willing to bet that is not a real photo of him playing the guitar and he probably has hooves instead of feet, that is why we never see them! When will someone put a stop to all of his menacin...

Re: Will these baby wipes work to clean my mask?

Baby wipes! I only wash if the oil I put in my beard starts to give me troubles with leaks or about every other week-ish, sometimes, if I think about it. I think the wipes are a handy way to clean my mask as soon as I take it off while I am thinking about it! I guess I am not a big clean freak when ...

Re: Newbie

Merry Christmas, a day late! In the early part of my CPAP journey I would get 4-1/2 hours of sleep, once I learned how to sleep with the plastic alien octopus attached to my face! I found that that was all i needed at first, woke up feeling great, but sure would be tired at the end of the day. As ti...

Re: Having trouble with "elitism"

I was diagnosed in 2012, given a brick set at the highest setting, I did not comply with therapy. The first "symptom" that I noticed was going into AFib, Had I had a machine that would have helped with my therapy by allowing me to see my data, therefore able to adjust my pressure to fit my needs I m...

Re: Is it normal to hurt head to toe after ASV titration?

I did not hurt from head to toe or even any one place after any of my seven trips to the sleep lab, including my final ASV titration. Good luck with therapy.

Re: Is hose buddy useful? Newbie here just starting out

Good morning, Is a hose buddy useful? Sure. Essential, No. I used a hose buddy for about six or seven months, until I rearranged my bedroom and for some reason did not put the hose buddy back. I have no problems without it, and have found I have more room to toss and roll a round all night as the ho...

Re: SoClean 2: Am I a sucker??

I think, if the manufacturers thought there were benefits to using a "So Clean" approach for cleaning their equipment, they would market their own versions and keep the profits in house. Follow the dollar. One of my friends has one and thinks it is great, I just keep my equipment clean by using wipe...

Re: new ASV users

I needed one before my ASV was prescribed. I do have a history of CHF so this was probably a wise move! I also have great insurance so I have been able to jump through the many obstacles placed in the ASV path.

Hello Sluggish.
Keep with it! I gave up way to many times, had many health issues a couple of trips to the ED and finally started to make myself become compliant, it has been a rocky road for me but I am happy I persisted and get good therapy.

Re: Another Newbie a few questions?

Hello DrEd123, I have had a tough time during my journey, finding the "Right" mask, actually getting the correct machine for my therapy dry mouth congestion ect. and so on. After six weeks or so of constant use I could sleep for about 4 hours, I would wake up feeling well rested and on point but wou...

Re: Thinking of a cruise for our anniversary - problems??

Hello Snoozysue, I went to the Philips Respironics Dreamstation site and looked at the user manual, digging down into obscure specs the manual states that the power "Brick" operates on 110-240 V 50/60 hrtz so you should be ok using your pap therapy on the cruise. Go to the manufacturers website and ...

Re: Do I have to use a heated tube

Good morning Peaches Cat, I have been using a "Long" hose on my machine until just recently when the temp's have drooped. I now use my heated hose and a hose coupler from the sponsor of this sight with an 18" or 20" short hose that i picked up off of Amazon. I use my snuggle hose cover that I picked...

Re: My Dreamstation is out of control.....help please.

Hello Bucko, I am a stomach sleeper myself, i have found that this even helps with mask leaks! I have also noticed that at times for reasons unknown to me that I will "tuck" my chin more than my normal sleep position, I think this ads to nights that my sleep is not good and I wake feeling not rested...
