Re: Coughing fits and Amara view ff mask. Help!
Any idea how to cope with coughing fits in the night with Amara View ff mask? I find it very frustrating that I dislodge the mask and sleep without it. This has been happening from past 2 nights. Do you cough without the mask on? Coughing with the mask on can mean you need more humidity...you may a...

Tubing having droplets even after full day drying.
Ok I washed my tubing and the mask at around 9 in the morning but I still see the droplets in the tubing after keeping them for drying. Does it matter if tubing has some droplets? Or it needs to be fully dry?

Can't use Amara View mask while coughing.
This has been extremely difficult. I have been using this mask and from two days I have this cold and coughing is causing mask to leak and hard to breathe. The nose is blocked so my only refuge is to breathe from the mouth where coughing makes everything really difficult. Should I not use Cpap until...

Re: Sudden loudness of DreamStation?
Water in the humidifier somewhat muffles the sound of the machine...did you run out of water? The water was ok. I checked that too and closed it. I went to the other room and the extra sound was gone. Maybe it has to do with the proper closure of the humidifier cabinet? I am always worried about th...

Sudden loudness of DreamStation?
Last night was my 21st night using Phillips DS. I noticed that it was louder than usual. Any idea what contributes to the loudness of the machine? I checked for the leaks in the tubing. No leaks. Filters? Thanks in Advance.

Re: An apology to everyone.
Recently, I was having a bad day, and grossly overreacted to a post that I felt was a direct attack, saying this: I can't stand pompous snotfaces that come in some where and start bitching about it. you're like the assholes that move into a house next to the airport and start complaining about the ...

Re: Amara view airleaks/Hard time in falling asleep
I was under impression that machine reading for mask-fit is accurate to the point. Good (sad) to know that its not the case. it's accurate, as long as you understand what the machine reading actually *means* Like I said, it read 100% mask fit doesn't do a thing for me. The air was leaking while num...

Re: Amara view airleaks/Hard time in falling asleep
I use the Amara View mask and I have found that it can be a bit touchy to get it to fit correctly. Some nights I put it on and no leaks, or at least no major leaks. Other nights I ...... Yes it is easy to detect the leak if the your eyes are open. I was having an issue for this too. But, I soon dis...

Re: Amara view airleaks/Hard time in falling asleep
Mask fit at 100% just means no large leaks...no leaks that made it to large leak territory. Doesn't mean there weren't any leaks that might have disturbed your sleep...just means you didn't hit large leak territory. ..... Since I got this whole cpap thing I am aware about my surroundings not all th...

Amara view airleaks/Hard time in falling asleep
This is my 11th night with Amara View ff mask. It worked well for 4-5 nights. Now, my biggest challenge is to figure out whether it is the airleaks or normal venting out of the air from the mask. I hear this air rattling sounds. No doubt that is the air from the vents but sometimes I feel that it is...

Re: holes in my wisp white tubing
I have been a CPAP user for several years and have 95% compliance. I know that I sleep much better when I use my machine. Now for the question...The white tubing that connects to my wisp nasal mask has developed holes (for the second time). I have no animals and I can't figure out what is causing t...

Re: Turning Off or On the CPAP without Unplugging
Guys, should I leave the machine plugged in all the time or it drains power? I usually unplug it in the morning but not sure that data it send to my physician would get hindered. Also, is there a way to deactivate the humidifier without separating it. Machine - Auto CPAP (Phillips Respironics Dream...

Re: Turning Off or On the CPAP without Unplugging
I don't think so that it turn off until you pull the plug out. I have Phillips Respironics Auto cpap and I too wondered about it. I did a complete reset of all the data. Now it is giving me 0.7 every day for an AHI because the first night after the reset I did get 0.7 which is about right for me. J...
