Yes we have but I keep being told that the Dreamstation is the quietest one in the market hence I didn’t follow up more. Also our insurance decided to stop covering sleep apnea so we would have to pay it.
Out of experience are there machines that are quieter?

Re: CPAP Noise is back
Thanks so much for the comments. We will check the humidifier for sure. We are not using it but it is connected. We have replaced the hose a few months back. Should we get a new one? In terms of the noise it sounds like the machine is working harder generating more air than before which is strange a...

Re: Update- Whistling sound
Thank you so much for the useful advise. I will definetly leave a mark and also keep the number in case we need to call them. I have spoken to one of the agents today and he was very kind and seemed supportive so I hope that he will help us to solve the issue. I will hold fast to this one till we fi...

Re: Update- Whistling sound
Hi there, that is a good idea. By any chance does anyone have the contact of their corporate hq?
The device has two years warranty and we have only just finished 6 months.
I just want to make sure that they don't try and take us for a ride and try to return the previous clearly faulty machine.

Re: Update- Whistling sound
Hi all, Thank you for the replies. We are in Dubai, the UAE and we have brought the machine to the Philips dealer for investigation as I had a feeling that there was something wrong. The replacement machine is exactly the same, Philips Dreamstation Auto CPAP. The only difference is that the replacem...

Update- Whistling sound
Dear all, I had recently posted as we were having this terrible whistling sound coming from the APAP machine. This has been going on since day 1 and we brought back the machine to the clinic several times just to be told that it is normal so I tried living with this sound which was impossible and ha...

Re: APAP machine very noisy
Thank you for your comments, I appreciate it as always. DH, you are right, the higher the pressure the louder the whistling. I remember that the machine has been noisy from day 1 and regardless if we use water or not the whistling sounds remains especially when inhaling. The only time it is quieter ...

Re: APAP machine very noisy
Hi all, Thank you for the suggestions which give me hope that we can battle this issue as well. How do we turn off the humidifier? Currently there is no water in the machine so I am guessing the humidifier is not required? I have examined the sound last night and comes directly from the machine. It ...

Hi all, After a few weeks of experimenting with our new APAP machine I am back on this lovely forum. I hope that you are all well. The therapy has shown positive effects and my dh's snoring has decreased a lot. Thank you for all of those who have supported us. I am now dealing with a new (old) issue...

Re: What's Going On With The Forum
I agree, I was so disappointed and worried when I saw the spam. Your advises always have been so valuable and I personally need your support.
I hope that you will be able to fix the issue. Will keep checking in the meantime.

Re: Finally back with an APAP
Hi all, Thank you so much for getting back with me. He is not overweight however he has gained quiet a bit of weight recently (I am not sure of the conversion but at least 10 kg within a few months). He is more tired and moody than usual and even though I like to believe that it is not related to th...

Re: Finally back with an APAP
Hi Hannibal, nice to hear from you again after a long time!
12-17 sounds great. We will try that for sure. I really hope it will work this time.
How would we reduce exhale relief? Is there a setting called like that?
Thank you for the support!

Re: Finally back with an APAP
Sure sounds good. Currently it's on 9-17. We might go for 12-20?
Would anyone else have any advise on this?
The reason I am a bit worried is that the pressure was fairly low for the beginning of the night.

Re: Finally back with an APAP
Dear Julie,
Thank you for your advise and I will do that. I am still getting used to Sleepyhead so please bear with me.
Your comment gives me hope. How much would you propose to increase the pressure to?
