Re: Dry Mouth Continues
anyways. lots of good suggestions in this thread thus far. i'd suggest OP go back and read them, perhaps a few times. i use a full face mask and i've this problem also. i've had good luck with sleeping more on my side, which tends to help my jaw from drifting down and my mouth opening all night. i'...

Re: Dry Mouth Continues
Well, I've been misled then by my doctor and my DME, both of whom said full face masks are to allow mouth breathers to sleep with their mouths open. So, you're saying that both my sleep doctor and my DME are wrong? Not so much mis-lead by your doctor and DME, more like your inability to reason. by ...

Re: Dry Mouth Continues
Haha, well, what's a full face mask for then? A FFM will help prevent the degradation of therapy that could be caused by mouth leaks, or by inhaling through the mouth, when using a nasal mask. A FFM will not prevent mouth breathing and the subsequent dry mouth that could occur. Machine humidificati...

Re: Dry Mouth Continues
Keep a bottle of a weakened version of either Propel or Gatorade by the bed. You want just enuff of the mix to make it pH balanced but not overly sweet. Take just enuf to moisten your mouth then go back to sleep. Using too much water from the humidifier can also be an indication of a leak. l though...

Re: OT : just can't believe it happened
I'll Go OT now, and say I wish Viagra still worked for me. 8 years ago, worked quite well, but wasn't with anyone too much, and didn't have insurance that would pay for it, But I think after Chemo, Had something to do with it not working any more. It works to a point, but not good enough for interc...

Re: Leave machine on after you get up??
Am truly sorry for such a lame question. And yes, I sort of thought that's what they meant. Why the heck don't they just say, 'Keep unit plugged in.' for Pete's sake. Thank you. I "Think" maybe these books may be written in another country, and loose proper meaning in the translation. Just a theory...

Re: Smoking interfering with CPAP therapy
Please quit. I smoked, and it took getting the wind knocked out of me, from a colon spasm to get me to quit.
Could hardly breath, lasted a week.
Didn't like the feeling of not being able to breathe.
