Re: ResMed iVAPS - how do you set it up?

How is your cat? when you are ready, How did the learn mode go?, now that the Ti is in range, you can see what the epap, rise time and min PS settings are doing. I use these for my tidal volume and RR, I have my my epap till the UA are sorted and min PS to just under my median PS for my obstructive,...

It's an annon forum, no one knows who we are. we can say anything. I murdered my mother and father, burnt the house down and sold the dog.

Re: Just got Diagnosed need some advice

Your choice though, isn't it. I would guess it's a total of a dozen people for me, they all posted a thread. It depends how you reply and the reasons you suggest a thread. There is one I'm on now that came from a PM.

Re: Oxygen levels

I see I still have my troll. I'm fixing up one of your Ti blunders on the iVAP thread. More of your drunk postings? The only thing I posted in 'the IVAP thread' was a better link to the titration manual than you posted. You have mental issues and need to be abusive, so be it. Have a look at his thr...

Re: Just got Diagnosed need some advice

People do ask. It's up to you whether you give advice over the PM, I tell the few people who have asked me questions by PM, to post a thread and I will reply on it.

Re: Just got Diagnosed need some advice

That's ok pug, everyone can make a mistake, You do a lot of good on the forum. I would use the open forum and not the PM system though. It's up to you. I found you just have to keep the mask on, you don't take it off and go back to sleep. to me this is the first rule. I got use to pressure in a week...

Re: Just got Diagnosed need some advice

Thanks for the heads up! As stated before the lowest i can go on the max pressure was 8 on the machine and I was running it at 10 last night. I am new to this but having epap at 4 with min pressure at 3 and max pressure at 10 it ranges from 7-14ish cm all night. On my sleepyhead report during event...

Re: ResMed iVAPS - how do you set it up?

You will get there. As you know the I:E ratio 1:2 is very normal. 95% 1.58, sounds good. Make that your max Ti for a while. If you would rather that than the default 1.5, it's close enough. The machine may cut your breath off, a few times as you fall asleep. You still get the target Va and the machi...

Re: ResMed iVAPS - how do you set it up?

Were you were getting your target Va? you need time to exhale, or you could type of breath stack. .88 median was enough time to get the required amount of air in. It is not a negative and is above the min setting. So it would indicate to me that you aren't reliant on the min or max to get your targe...

Re: ResMed iVAPS - how do you set it up?

I'd set the trigger while you are awake, go through the different settings and see which feels right.

Re: Just got Diagnosed need some advice

Thanks! I may even get a pregnancy pillow to make me lie on my side. I do have a adjustable bed and usually have it about 6-8" elevated but sleeping on my side makes it rather difficult if it is up too high. I may start to take the nexium as a previous poster advised. My main problem is my throat, ...

Re: Oxygen levels

Good idea, pugs, I'll go find it the min is 4 and the max goes up to 8? I think is what you mean. in asv setting you have epap 4 min PS 3 max PS 5 you add epap and PS together, that will give you between 7 max and 9 max @ palerider, it seems pugs has forgotten how the machine worked, it is a fixed e...

Re: How do I interpret the Sleepyhead data charts?

Yes get some charts up for better advice.
You cut off the bit at the bottom, that says what machine you have. It will need a bit more probably, but I'd try min 7 for a resmed and min 8 for a philips. ....max pressure 15
