Re: Rudeness
Wow! I did not mean to start a war with my observation. I was not "trolling," but rather making an observation that in a group such as this, all sharing a difficult condition, I was surprised that there was so much hostility and vitriol. I saw the apology posted by one member for his comments, and t...

Re: Meditation - A Recipe For Better Sleep
I am sure there are many that will dismiss meditation as "New Age" stuff. As a 73 year old practitioner of Tai Chi, Aikido, and Qi Gong, let me just say that I probably would not be around if it were not for internal exercises such as meditation. I have survived several bouts of different type of CA...

Re: Rudeness
I can't stand pompous snotfaces that come in some where and start bitching about it. you're like the assholes that move into a house next to the airport and start complaining about the noise. if this was the only cpap forum IN THE WORLD, then sure, make it boring pablum for everybody. BUT IT'S NOT ...

Re: Rudeness
I had some time this morning, and was reading through some posts on this, and on the Apnea Board. I noticed there are a lot of rather rude responses to some questions on the list. Granted, some of the questions seem obvious, but probably are not to the person asking. I see terse, sometimes even sar...

Flashair Card overheating.
I got a Toshiba W-03 Flashair card to use. It works great in my Dreamstation, so I got another to use in my backup Respironics System One 560 APAP. Card shows good when inserted, but after an hour or so, machine starts beeping, and message about card is corrupted appears. When I remove card, it is h...

Thanks for the replies, and my prayers to my fellow cancer survivors (Bladder, prostate and 4 melanomas, all clear now).

Wow, with the hostility here I am almost afraid to post, but I also have a beard and have found nasal pillows best. If there is mild mouth-breathing, add a chin strap.

Sleeping with CPAP and a Cat
After a month of using my CPAP, and the past 2 weeks sleeping great, last night awakened gasping at 2AM. My cat had stepped on the switch on my machine and turned it off. Started up again, and all was well until about 4AM. I woke up, and heard the machine running, but was getting very little air. Th...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
My problem was I was getting up 8-12 times a night and going to the bathroom. I thought it was a bladder problem, as I had bladder cancer 20 years ago, successfully treated with BCG (a kind of chemo) and had no recurrence. My Urologist even said "Are you getting up to go because you have to go, or a...
