Re: When to service blower motor?

Decided I'm going to follow up and research the cost of a Resmed machine through insurance. Otherwise I'm probably looking to get a lightly used machine again. Also if the Resmed goes down at some point I could use the Z2 I just bought while I was fixing the Resmed or finding a replacement. I'm not ...

Re: When to service blower motor?

Palerider that video you posted says it all. So glad you all helped me make the switch to Resmed around 5 years ago.

Re: When to service blower motor?

When talking about bilevel pressures, to avoid confusing others, say "MaxIPAP 14, MinEPAP 7, PS3, because the only way you can have an IPAP of 14 and an EPAP of 7 is with a PS of 7. I knew you would get me on that. That's what I get for being lazy and not typing it all out. :D Just talked to my Hea...

Re: When to service blower motor?

Thanks for the thorough responses. That pretty much answers everything. I actually don't need a bilevel machine. My old System One was hard to get used to and seemed to always work against me so I wanted to try a machine with more pressure relief. With guidance from the forum I purchased a used Resm...

When to service blower motor?

I've become quite partial to my Resmed machine, so much better than my old Philips System One. I want to make sure my Resmed continues on for many years and that it's available to me every night. I've been searching the internet and the forum for some answers but haven't found them all yet. I have a...

Re: System One 560P vs Dreamstation 1

Found this thread on the forum. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t113082/Respironics-Dreamstation-vs-System-One-Differences.html It sounds like the two machines are nearly the same, just a different look. Thinking I'm just going to send the Dreamstation back and keep the System One. That way I won...

Re: System One 560P vs Dreamstation 1

Just figure out the manuals list both of the machines with the same dc voltage specs. Both are 12v 6.67amps so they seem to be the same as far as battery efficiency goes.

System One 560P vs Dreamstation 1

Normally I'm good at making decisions for myself but I'm struggling with this one and decided to appeal to the masses. I have a Philips System One 560P that I use for camping and a backup machine. I've been partial toward it since it ran directly off of 12vdc without the need of propriety cables. It...

Re: Oscar slow to import

Mine has gotten very slow after the last update, booting and importing. Before that it was very quick. Running the latest version, not sure what changed.

Re: Examples...mouth breathing leak, dry mouth, false positive flagging

Thanks Pugsy, good stuff. Great idea for a sticky, how to identify false events. Here's a couple examples of false events that I get flagged with several times every night. Wake up, take a deep breath and hold it while adjusting body position and go back to sleep.

Re: Smoker? Don't smoke around your CPAP!

That is so gross. No way I would have tried to bring that one back. Does the boiling or baking clean up silicone and plastic that is turning yellow? I have some old masks and cushions that aren't being made anymore. It's the only mask that has worked decently for me so I keep going back to it. They ...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

After more than a year of waiting I decided to skip both the money and a replacement machine. I found out I wouldn't get a repaired 60 Series to replace the one I have. I specifically chose that machine for camping since it runs directly off 12vdc without a converter. I'll keep the old Philips aroun...

Re: Breas Z2 users?

I use a full size Resmed machine which seems to work with me when I breath, not against me. I got a Z2 for camping and it does seem like the pressure at the mask is intense. Not sure if mine is working correctly, but I resorted to a lower pressure setting for my Z2 compared to my Resmed.

Re: BREAS Z2 very noisy at mask

I couldn't sleep with my Z2 Auto either due to the noise from the hose, mask and machine. It was a combination of several things that quieted it down enough that I can use it now. The muffler they provided helps some. Using a quiet mask helps, like the Resmed P10. The Z2 came with a 4ft hose and cha...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

My System One 560P is my back up machine so replacement hasn't been urgent. But after getting the run around for a year after registration and being forced to jump through extra hoops I decided to just remove the foam when I get around to it and never buy a Philips product again. My Resmed products ...
