Re: AirMini vs Dreamstation Go - Weight Issue
There is nothing to stop you from putting a medical equipment tag on your rollerbag...... You then lose the medical device exemption - the medical device must be the ONLY thing in that bag. Technically my old bag (before I got the DSGO, which travels MUCH easier than my full size DS) would be no-go...

Re: Will I have to shave my beard?
I'm 38, have a very full beard, and use an AirFit F20. Works wonderfully for me, no leaks to speak of. I seem to have good luck with these things, though

How often to check SH data?
I've been stable on CPAP for about a year now, and used to check data daily, but since it's really not that interesting unless you're having a problem, I pretty much stopped - I'll throw the SD card in my computer every month or 2 and check it out. Occasionally, I'll check out AHI with DreamMapper s...

Re: Mobility
Yeah, with my AirFit F20 there's a similar thing. Comes off in 2 seconds, and reattaches just as quickly. Make sure to turn the machine off first, though!

Re: Better APAP Machine - Airsense 10 Autoset or Dreamstation
and adjusting the minimum pressure up to 7cm H20 (my typical maintenance pressure is about 10cm H20), It says that I still have "residual" AHIs in the 5-7 range. Herein lies the problem. If the machine is adjusting to a much higher pressure, the Respironics algorithm is going to be less aggressive ...

Re: Upgraded my machine now I'm in misery
Also, when I had this happen (absolutely horrible first couple of nights) I emailed the doctor (he's EXTREMELY responsive) along with reports from EncorePro (I have a Respironics machine). He basically siad "looks like this needs to change, let me know if you know how to do it. If not, we'll have yo...

Re: Looking for good DME in NYC
I use Landauer Medstar in NYC - though they really are on LI. Never been there - they came and delivered my machine (as scheduled), showed me how to use it, and then left. They are part of a larger group called QMES, so for supplies you call some warehouse in PA, and they send you the stuff. They we...

Re: SH and EncorePro different data?
Nope, but I noticed the same thing when I imported the data this morning. I'm one of those people that leave my computer running 24/7, so I decided to close and reopen SleepyHead since it was still wonky, and that worked. Not even sure how to begin debugging what would cause such a thing. Oh well......

SH and EncorePro different data?
I noticed something weird today - I stopped looking at graphs on a daily basis, but would use DreamMapper to see what the AHI was, and if I needed to could get more detail. Today was one such day - my AHI had registered at 2.2, and I was wondering what was going on there. Anyhow, I imported my data ...

Re: Will we ever adjust?
If it's an AutoPAP, there's no need for A-Trial - as it can operate as full-time Auto. I just checked my 3-4 month old machine, and there's no A-Trial on it either (though there is a C-Check mode)Soothest Sleep wrote:Is it possible the machines, and therefore the Manual, have been updated since then?

Re: Please help tx work this time (3rd time's the charm?)
FWIW, my machine scores FL (Dreamstation). I did a little awake experiment (the OA scored at the end was me holding my breath to see if I could feel the pressure increase that it uses to distinguish between OA and CA - and I could. Somewhat strange that it didn't call it a CA since technically that'...

Re: CPAP Full Face Masks. What's your go to?
I tried the ComfortGel Blue, the Simplus, and settled on the ResMed F20. I like the magnetic closure of the F20, I originally thought that it was more of a gimmick than anything, but it's actually useful and very convenient to use. I managed to get the leak rate down on the F20 while still maintaini...

Re: Suddenly getting worse?
Apologies for the lack of response, I actually felt much better this morning, and had an AHI of around 0.9 according to Sleepyhead. The thing that I wanted to respond to was whether or not I got a copy of my sleep study - and as it happens, I did at the followup that I just had. It's at https://file...

Re: Goodbye
Oh well...bet I slept better last night than he did. That much anger has gotta eat at someone. Been there and done that myself but not with this guy last night. And hopefully not on a CPAP forum of all things! You're one of the most helpful members here, and it's very appreciated (at least by some ...
