Lincare CPAP Supplies

I was thinking of using Lincare as my DME. I can’t seem to find a complete list of masks, supplies, machines nothing. All they say on the website is “we carry all major brand”. Has anyone found a place on Lincare’s website that has such a list?

Re: Humidifier Reservoir

I have the ResMed Air Sense 10 and when my humidifier was going bad it was using more and less water night to night. Then it started leaking so I replaced it and it went back to consistent water use. Insurance pays for a replacement humidifier chamber every 6 months. They last longer but i get one e...

CPAP Full Face Masks. What's your go to?

I am always on the look out for a great full face CPAP mask. My preference is a full face mask without a forehead brace.

My go to is the ResMed Quattro FX (Medium cushion size)

What are your go to full face mask?

Re: Breathing sounds

Here's a couple tricks I use to make that sound as soft as possible. The other replies are correct, it is the air being pulled through the filter. 1. Put the machine as close to the floor as possible. I put mine on the lowest level of my nights stand. 2. Put the machine on a soft towel if on a shelf...

Re: Noisy AirSense 10 machine

The Air Sense 10 AutoSet is rated at the same Db level as the Dream Station. Neither are silent but there a couple things that my wife and I have done to alleviate the noise (the higher the pressure the noisier it will be). 1. I put the machine on the lowest level of my night stand, which is almost ...

Re: Newly Diagnosed Yesterday (still sinking in)

Your reaction is completely normal. Also, great input from other forum members on here. I remember when I first had a sleep study done. I will say, I have great insurance, Anthem covered everything 100% so I did a sleep study at my local sleep disorder center. I can recall all the wires and probes o...

Re: Will we ever adjust?

My wife was the same way when I first stared CPAP as she is a light sleeper. Here's what made it easier for her. 1. I put my ResMed Air Sense 10 (which is considered the quietest machine on the market) on the lowest level of my night stand, which is almost floor level. That in itself makes the noise...

Re: Cpap Pro

I hated it as well, one I can't stand any nasal mask that stick up my nose and two I found I was a mouth breather so the mouthpiece attachment was worthless I would still drop my jaw, open my mouth making this mask worthless. I use and have been using the Quattro FX ever since it first came out.

Re: Vote on the starting settings

When I first started CPAP about 2 years ago, my doctor had set my pressure at 4-15 which is completely ridiculous. Not only did it feel like I was suffocating when I first started the machine, when I get up at night to use the restroom I had to start back at 4 again. I had him up my start pressure t...

Re: dry mouth

Are you using a nasal mask of some sort? When I would get dry mouth with a nasal mask it was because I would open my mouth at night causing the air to rush into my mouth because of CPAP pressure, which you CPAP machine senses as a massive air leak. Once I switched the a full face mask that solved th...

Re: New user intro, looking for Sleepyhead feedback + Progress!

Do you wake up ever with dry mouth? when I used the Dream Wear, my mouth would open at night and give me dry mouth. I had to use a chin strap but have since went to the ResMed Quattro FX, the lightest smallest full face mask and I trade off with the Phiillips Respiraronics Amara View. Those solve my...

Re: eye mask for cpap use

I use the Escape Sleep Mask by Dream Essentials. It's $19.95 but it is worth the price, very, very soft, light and is deep on the side areas of the mask. It doesn't ride up as much as the old mask I used which was the Dream Weaver. I use the Quattro FX and the nose area of the Escape sleep mask is h...

Re: Quattro FX vs. AirFit F10 FFM

I have used both of these and many other FFMs and prefer ResMed masks. They really put a lot into the development of their products and unlike other manufacturers listen to customer reviews to make improvements. The Resmed F10 is indeed smaller at the mouth area and that's the main reason I prefer t...

Re: Quattro FX vs. Airfit F10

I have used both the Resmed Quattro FX and The Resmed P10. There are sleight differences in the two. As someone mentioned, the bottom area (base) is more narrow that on the on the F10 than on the Quattro FX. For me, I tend to use the Quattro FX more often as the bottom area of the cushion is wider a...
