Re: S10 sdcard, remote wireless data transmission
If you want to check yourself the data with Sleepyhead, then I would recommend buying a wifi SD card (standard size SD card, with wifi built-in), like a Toshiba FlashAir one. It will allow you to download the data from the machine to your computer without taking the SD card out repeatedly. http://sl...

Re: Are there ANY Simplus FFM users out there?
I haven't had any specific issues with new cushions bought for the F&P Simplus mask.
The only hissing noise I get is when the machine and its humidifier are not set properly, and too much humidity blocks the exhaust vents. Setting the machine to "auto" humidity usually resolves the issue.

Re: Sleep Study Results - Basics
Actually, I found some more details regarding the "for her" algorithm: "In comparison, ResMed AutoSet for Her evaluates the flow for every breath looking for apneas, snore, and flow limitation, and delivers a proportional increase in pressure depending on the degree of deviation of the event from no...

Re: F&P Simplus condensation noise
Yes, I have the same issue: when there is too much humidity, then the Simplus makes some whistling noise.
It only happens however when I try to set the humidity manually in the ResMed A10 machine: when humidity is set to automatic, then I don't have too much humidity in the mask.

Re: Sleep Study Results - Basics
Above 10 cm pressure, the For-Her algorithm is disabled. Its value below 10 cm is doubtful. What do you mean by that? I am using a "for her" machine with a starting pressure above 10, and with the "for her" algorithm selected. I have never read anywhere else that the "for her" algorithm couldn't be...

Re: Devices/programs to help evaluate sleep status
For sleep tracking, I have tried: * The Jawbone UP3 band * The ResMed S+ * The Fitbit Charge 2 band The Jawbone device is measuring quite nicely the sleep stages. However, it's not very good at doing other things, and it has been discontinued (and Jawbone have exited the consumer market). The ResMed...

Re: ResMed S+
S+ is worthless, even at $35.
The Dreem is promising, but very little reviews yet.
For now, I would recommend the Fitbit Charge 2 if you want to track your sleep stages, as it does not do a bad job (and I have compared it against a PSG sleep study).

Re: OSA resolved, but still poor quality sleeping
Trying to chase down the cause of spontaneous arousals may not prove to be helpful. A certain number of arousals are normal and an AI of 20 may not be significant. I think this is a bit confusing: an AHI of 15 would be considered mild apnea, and probably needs to be treated, but you are saying anot...

Re: OSA resolved, but still poor quality sleeping
Was the info you provided on PLMs from the diagnostic or titration part of your study? There was no titration part in the sleep study. I was already on APAP for 8 months before doing the full sleep study, so the machine was already set up with an optimum pressure range for achieving a low AHI. Firs...

Re: OSA resolved, but still sleeping badly
Were any of the arousals related to limb movements? What was the eaxct wording in the report regarding limb movements? Did you have both a diagnostic and titration study in the lab? PLM index: 1.2 (per hour) PLMs with micro-arousals: 0 PLM is not an issue. First part of the PSG sleep study was done...

Re: OSA resolved, but still sleeping badly
Hi tedtomato , And - if I read your previous posts correctly - you were diagnosed via an 'at-home' sleep study. If so, the next step might be to have a full-on 'sleep lab' examination. I initially had a home sleep study about a year ago, but then a full PSG sleep study a few months ago, at a proper...

OSA resolved, but still poor quality sleeping
Hi, I have been on CPAP for a year, and I have been fairly compliant (using the machine each night, for at least 5 hours). The daily AHI number achieved with CPAP/APAP is now typically below 1.5. A full sleep study was done in July of this year, and showed that OSA was accounting for one third of ar...

Re: Fitbit Ionic vs Sleep study results
I have a Fitbit Charge 2, and did a full sleep study a few months ago.
The correlation between the Fitbit data, in term of sleep stages guessed from movement and heart rate changes, and the PSG data, based on many electrodes, EEG, EKG etc., was very good and actually impressed the sleep doctor.
