Rooting for the Cubs...

I was diagnosed 8/17/2016 and so many people in my life have just learned I have OSA. It was amusing how many text messages I just got when the announcers brought up Mike Napoli of the Indians sleep apnea issues.

Is there any reason NOT to be on "auto?"

Generally, is there any reason not to set your machine to auto? My thought is this: -My DME, through the last 1.5 months, has ended up setting me on CPAP pressure of 10. My AHI is down to 2.35 (30 day average,) and I am happy as it is a huge improvement. Why wouldn't I set my machine to auto mode wi...

Question about the "adjustment period"

In starting my treatment and reading this board (as well as others,) I get the idea there are really two types of adjustment that can/and need to take place when starting xPAP treatment: 1. Equipment - Meaning mask fit, comfort, pressure, which type of PAP therapy is right, keeping the mask on...and ...

Re: Forgot your machine while driving on vacation?

I've been on CPAP for one month. I forgot to pack my tube and mask and didn't realize until I was at my hotel at 11:30pm last Thursday. I was stuck. It was REALLY strange to "sleep" without treatment, and I can't believe I used to do it every night. I also realized how obvious it was that I had slee...

Re: Newbie confused about pressure

Just wanted to let you all know that my pressure was increased to 10 last week after a discussion with the Tech and my AHI has dropped to between 1-2. Good stuff and I appreciate all your help.

Initial pressure on Auto was min:4 max:15, but I think it never went over 12-13 in the week I was on Auto. Maybe once to 15 in 7 full nights sleep. I can check when I get home if needed.

Wanna bet they picked the 90% pressure? After all it's the holy grail of numbers.
Would it be helpful to post some stats from when I was in Auto mode?

Newbie confused about pressure

Hi folks! Newly diagnosed with 32 AHI. I have probably had some form of apnea since I was 14 and had no clue. I am 37 now. The last two years have been absolute hell trying to figure out what was wrong with me (I will post my symptoms in full if they get better as I would have been thrilled to find ...
