Re: Attempted OSCAR install - malware detected
First, thanks to everybody who responded. I did not read (have not yet read) the Oscar install instructions( Duh...). I will do that next. I downloaded Oscar from a link on this site, I think maybe from one of Pugsy's sticky notes.. The virus/malware program I am using is called EmsiSoft. It was hig...

Attempted OSCAR install - malware detected
I just attempted to install OSCAR on my computer. My malware/virus program detected "malware" and blocked the installation. Has this happened to anyone else?

Phillips Recall - Amara View Mask?
Does anyone know if masks made by Phillips are affected by the Phillips CPAP recall? I am using the Phillips Amara View Mask. It doesn't seem like the mask is affected from all that I have read online and I don't see any foam in the mask, but does anyone know for sure? Thank you.

Re: Heating system failure on Resmed Autoset 10 for Her
Thank you, Dog Slobber and Zonker. Unplugging and then plugging the unit back in seemed to do the trick and the message is no longer displaying. I also unplugged and re-seated the hose. Hopefully these steps have resolved the problem and it won't recur, at least not soon. I really appreciate both of...

Re: What is OSCAR?
Thanks, Julie. I'll read up on it and possibly install it to see how it works.

Heating system failure on Resmed Autoset 10 for Her
Last night my Resmed Autoset 10 for Her CPAP machine started displaying a message: Heating system failure. System will run without heat. Of course this happened on a Friday night so I can't reach my DME to inquire about it. My machine is just under 3 years old so I think it is past the 2 year warran...

What is OSCAR?
I haven't been on the board for awhile and back today I'm seeing references to OSCAR. I'm wondering what that is... would somebody explain it to me? Thanks in advance.

Re: Leaky?? Amara View Mask
Thanks, Pugsy. I will relax a little about this. CPAP is good but not perfect as far as finding a mask that is tolerable and not too leaky. I plan to just keep on keepin' on as they say.

Re: Leaky?? Amara View Mask
Thank you everybody who has responded. Problem is still ongoing but I keep trying new things. I am wondering if there isn't some leakage around the swivel port thingy and I guess I will find that out once my new mask arrives. It could be the straps aren't adjusted just right yet since I received the...

Re: Leaky?? Amara View Mask
Thank you Pugsy and Okie for your responses. I have been very successful with the Amara View up until perhaps the last month or so or even less. Although I replace the cushion whenever it starts to get leaky, this time that did not work. I have ordered a whole new mask kit so I will see if that help...

Leaky?? Amara View Mask
After many months of hardly any leaks with my Amara View Mask, SleepyHead has been reporting significant mask leaks almost every night for the past 3-4 weeks. The thing is, when I first put the mask on, I check carefully to see if it is leaking and I only settle down to sleep once I am convinced the...

Re: Amara View mask
I've used the Amara View for roughly a year. I am overall very happy with it. There was an adjustment period until I figured out how to fit it on my face but once I got through that period, all is well (considering I would rather be wearing no mask but alas...). Make sure you use the fitting templat...

Re: Amara view and nose problems
I have been using the Amara View mask for approx 8-9 months now and I am overall happy with it. Of course I would be happiest if I didn't need any mask but... The first mask I received, size Small, hurt the tip of my nose as described in these posts. The Medium size does not hurt my nose. There is a...
