I have a cold. Any help on how you sleep with the CPAP if you can't breathe through your nose?

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

I have been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and recently started using a CPAP since about March. I had a very rough start for the first month. I think I averaged about 2 hours a night for at least 2 weeks with some skips. I talked with another person who also had a CPAP and he encouraged me to use...

Re: first night, first timer

I made no other changes because I don't have any understanding as to how this thing works. And I have not recorded my settings yet.

Re: first night, first timer

I am still struggling trying accept this mask. I don't like having something over my mouth. I decreased the temperature and had one night where I was able to actually fall asleep with the machine running. The mask was on without any air leaking. The machine isn't registering that there are leaks but...

Re: first night, first timer

I checked my settings and discovered that the tube temperature was set at auto, which it looks like could go as high as 85 or 90. What would be the suggested temp to try? I lowered it to 78

Re: first night, first timer

All I know about my settings is that it is set to go from 5-15. If I don't use the machine but only put the mask on, won't that effect my compliance?
