Re: flying and cpap

You didn't mention it but I assume you will also be checking luggage in addition to the cpap carryon. I fly quite a bit for work and constantly face arriving too late and too tired to go looking for water. I am pretty OCD about using distilled so years ago I started packing a well sealed bottle with...

Re: Intellipap Auto first impressions

I purchased an Intellipap a couple of months ago to replace an aging Respironics M Series and I continue to be very satisfied with it. Great price for all its features and construction. The "Event Density Translation" for SmartLink is well hidden in the pdf sales brochure at the DeVilbiss website. T...

TSA HAS hand searched the bag. There is no problem with the water in the checked luggage.

I travel constantly for work and always pack 1 or 2 nalgene bottles of water that I have vacuum sealed and labeled "distilled water for cpap machine" in my checked luggage because I generally arrive at my destination late and don't want to be hunting around for water. I consider my humidifier critic...

Coming at this from the perspective of near fatal heart disease at age 47, I truly thank GOD every day for my treatment. I look forward to "strapping in" each night. It's only a dumb little overpriced vacuum cleaner and the worst thing it does to me is mess my hair up. Suprising, given how little I ...

Found this on Google, hope it's not as painful as it sounds! ... MODEL HC234 (AND RELATED ACCESSORIES) FISHER & PAYKEL HEALTHCARE, LTD. ... FROM FDA DEVICE: OPUS MAGNUM ANCHOR WITH INSERTER OPUS MEDICAL, INC. ... probably seals well if it uses an anchor, don't even want to think about the inserter!

Hey again Chris. Trying not to hijack this thread. I live in Missoula but don't get to see it as much as I would like. Sitting in a hotel in Helena tonight and didn't make it home for T-day. Oh well, maybe I can get a side job travel testing machines! Perhaps I can catch up to you sometime for a cup...

Bangy I'll throw in my observations. I also have both machines as well as an Aura Everest I use for travel now. I was a bit doubtful of the M series machine at first and originally bought it for travel. I did not use the C-Flex function on the classic as it didn't feel comfortable to me and my press...

Greetings, Craig. If you are traveling within the USA you should have no problem, TSA is familiar with CPAP. Many machines actually have an imprint on the bottom stating that they are a medical device as well. Having said that, there will always be a bad experience for someone, somewhere. Good pract...

It's really the same but different- The statement about not sloshing the water into the machine is as true for my older auto. I find it a little easier to slide the tank in to the machine smoothly as the tank does not rely on the humidifier to hold it together as the older style does. For cleaning, ...

You have a good machine-mask start up! There are a ton of posts (and opinions) about cleaning habits. I think the best advice is to do what makes you feel most comfortable, there is trial an error required. If you are like most of us, you'll start off with really good habits and over time you'll jus...
