Re: Humdity setting and high humidity?
I'm taking it. If I need it it's there. Good point re: AC, btw.

Re: Humdity setting and high humidity?
I imagine. Was trying to figure out if I needed to bring the humidifier at all. Doesn't your machine have an "auto" humidity setting in the "Climate Control"? If so, wouldn't that work? If it does or doesn't use water, would indicate the humidity level is adequate for your needs. Or, you could set i...

Re: Humdity setting and high humidity?
Too bad there is no way to check this one out. I don't ever not use the humidifier. My two trips have been to Colorado and Arizona, so no chance to check that out on a short trip.

Humdity setting and high humidity?
I'm going to Florida in a couple weeks. I want to know what people from places with high humidity do with their humidity settings. I live in NM, and only have it set for 2-3. I'm wondering if I even need the humidifier at all. We have about 40% humidity when it rains but usually in teens.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: So Clean
Oh no, if you read what I said (in between the lines I suppose), you'd see I said "at least you stick in in the device and let it do whatever it does (and a weird smilie to boot). Obviously I don't actually think it does anything. Or at least I am very very skeptical. No I didn't say it did anything...

Re: CPAP Travel Case
I'll be using the camera bag I bought pretty soon, so I'll see how much I like it. It looks more padded than the Resmed case (that actually seems pretty good in terms of padding). It's going to be easier to carry being a backpack, but somewhat more trouble to pack. I figured I will need a plastic ba...

Re: So Clean
The advertising I've heard on the radio (and it's pretty aggressive in that I've heard ads every hour or so) says that it kills (extra scary-- play scary music here) "CPAP germs". These are special to CPAP and don't exist in the known universe anywhere else. Also talks about the scary germs inside y...

Well that sucks!!

because the *RESPIRONICS* case is crap, maybe 1/8th of an inch padding, it's just a bag to put the thing in, no structure or anything. it's 85$ to get something like what resmed includes with purchase.

Re: CPAP Travel Case
I don't see what advantage the briefcase has over the carrying case, as far as carrying cases I think the Resmed case is pretty nice. I got a backpack because I'm short and putting stuff on my shoulders doesn't work all that well. The backpack I got is this one, but I think a lot of the camera type ...

Re: New Dreamwear making noise
No, sorry the other way. I think that a super soft pillow makes the noise worse. Your head sinks into the pillow, and then the sound from the exhale ports creates something like a wind tunnel. Therefore, I did better with a firmer pillow, of course YMMV. Jonny515, do you mean the soft pillow helps? ...

Re: New Dreamwear making noise
Oddly the head pillow makes a difference. I have a very soft pillow where my head sinks in. It seems to make a kind of wind tunnel for the exhale ports.

Re: Anybody on CPAP NOT have sleep problems?
IF I fall asleep, I have no problems sleeping. However, sleep apnea is a breathing problem. If you have it then you have a higher risk of heart disease and stroke. I wouldn't say it's common to not really have daytime sleepiness, but it is *possible*. Not all people with sleep apnea snore and not al...

The bulk discount thing makes sense. I can't complain too badly, as it is in an excellent machine-- unlike what some DMEs are unloading.

Re: Using Provent for traveling?
You've got to breathe from your mouth while you fall asleep and close your mouth and sleep after you fall asleep. I'd say the odds of me doing this would be fairly low, whether or not it would actually work.
