Re: Where is the common sense?

To the OP, ignore the post by Cannuk 1, it is completely wrong. Your leak rate is fine. Seeing you are full of wisdom what is the difference? I suggest you do some reading on the forum, it's been explained hundreds of times. Don't offer comments on things you don't know the answer to, it wastes eve...

Re: Where is the common sense?

what is the difference? Difference in what? Leak rate numbers? There is a huge difference in how Respironics machines report leak and how ResMed machines report leak. Total leak vs excess only leak. Example...large leak for a ResMed machine starts at anything over 24 L/min. Large leak for a Respiro...

Re: Where is the common sense?

I think you have a issue with leakage from your mask, Resmed considers anything over 24 l/min as a large leak. You can add a red line as a marker to your graph by on the left of the chart to find the proper marker.(upper leak threshold, click it on) PLEASE stop posting when you have absolutely no id...

Re: Rumors of New Machine?

Better off knowing a proven model than a new Cpap model, I would pick Resmed Airsense 10,auto set because it truly is a great Cpap and make sure you get auto models on any machine you decide to purchase. A new machine is not going to be a whole lot different than what is out there now IMO. Airsense ...

Re: ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet For Her?

The for Her model is like 3 machines in 1....the regular AutoSet is like 2 machines in 1. Any recommendations for which algo to start her off on? Also, for the mask, I was going to start her with pillows and see how it goes. That worked for me to get used to therapy until I found a better match wit...

Re: Anyone been diagnosed with sleep apnea?

So I've been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Apparently I average 34 breathing interruptions/hr and they are telling me I need to use a CPAP machine for the rest of my life likely. This is depressing as I check online at these machines and the pictures are all of old people with these masks on t...

Re: How to search a topic or product that your interested in.

If you type: p10 mask site:cpaptalk.com it will limit the search to only the site cpaptalk.com And, you don't need to go to Google, you can just enter it into the browser's URL No doubt there are other methods out there but I have used this method on other forums other than Cpap & it works very wel...

How to search a topic or product that your interested in.

The search engine on Cpap talk is not all that good IMO, to find a product or mask........ go to google "example: Type in P10 mask cpaptalk" and you should find lots of subject material, their search engine is enormous and accurate.

Re: PROGRESSIVE RECENT INCREASE IN AHI

Interesting you received a some surgery and the right nostril is working the most, it must be forcing air in under more pressure because left nostril is not functioning as it should.
You did not mention what mask you are using? I think you are using a pillow mask!

Re: Waking up gasping and more hypopneas

I have to agree that your set pressure is to low and you have Flex activated which lowers your exhaling pressure so you are very close to OA or H problems. It is to bad you could not crank up your volume to 10 cmH20 and then you could use your flex at 3. I would try shutting off flex and see your Cp...

Re: Just bought a new Resmed airsense 10,autostart, when removing mask keeps free flowing.

My machine does exactly the same thing. When compared to not turning on, not turning off is definitely something I can deal with. I have been testing and reading a little, it seems folks with the pillow p10 mask have similar issues according to another person who did some digging up on the subject ...

Re: Just bought a new Resmed airsense 10,autostart, when removing mask keeps free flowing.

Some users of the P10 mask have reported that Smart Start does not work so well on shut down. Too restrictive exhaust? That is what the on/off button is for. JPB Or unplug the mask hose from the main hose. Interesting, My old machine would shut off when mask removed. You can hear the changes...
