Julie - the rash extends all the way around to the back of my head. Cut up cotton sock to reach from gear contact point on cheek around head to approx. mid neck area.

What materials are used to make ResMed AirFit F20 cushions
This is a supplement to my earlier posting. I am unable to find anything in user guide(s) for F10 or F20 cushions identifying what they are made of. It may be possible that all the testing my dermatologist is doing may not include the materials used to make the cushions.

ResMed F20 Mask, Sizing, and DME
Went to my new DME who is part of my sleep study lab about an issue with FFM's and dermatitis. I have dermatitis/psoriasis and sleep on my right side. I have serious rash from lower right strap running from my cheek around to the back of the head and a cut-up cotton sock offered no relief. They had ...

Re: Airfit F10 elbows keep leaking
How often do you clean the cushion? There is a gasket on the inside that the elbow should rest against to complete the seal. If you accidentally removed it you would get a leak. Happened to me and it was not easy putting the gasket back on but that's because I have tremors in my hands.

Re: ? for 960 ASV users
Does it wheeze only when you inhale? My ASV did that after several months and I traced it to the humidifier. There is a silicon seal in the humidifier and I found that dampening it a little stopped the noise. You could also try softening the seal by putting it in warm water. Or you could just order ...

Re: Terrifying experience, has this happened to you?
most likely it was the brownie. I have GERD and cannot lay down for several hours after eating anything. I take Zantac nightly and raised my headboard with 2x4 to prevent episodes.

when you fill the humidifier, wet the seal a liitle and see if that stops the noise.

tan - she is using full face mask and not the pillows her profile shows. She shouldn't need a chinstrap.

I have the same machine and use Quattro Air ffm. Check your humidifier settings - I think mine are set to auto.

Re: First night with full face mask (Quattro Air)
I have been using the Quattro Air for over 6 months with good success. I tried the Amara View Hybrid and failed miserably. You might check to see if your humidifier setting is too low - that could cause dryness. Good luck and keep up the good work

Re: Something not right with SH or MyAir
Yes. I usually read the SD card in the afternoon. So that would explain why it says 7/17. But how did it come up with the times if they were Saturday?

stephenn - RAMP feature controls when the machine starts increasing pressures. It is supposed to be used if you have trouble falling asleep. I have turned mine off. I don't believe there is any machine which can tell if you are asleep.

Re: Best ASV
I have been using the ResMed Aircurve 10 ASV for almost a year. Except for mask issues I have had good numbers since starting therapy. My AHI is almost always below 1.0. During a recent very high stress period my AHI still was less than 5.0. I use sleepyhead software and did track my results daily b...
